I was hoping the exclusive version would be more enticing. Not sure if holding the death star plans is really worth getting it from SS?

I wonder if the foot peg system on this one will be similar enough to the old princess pf that I could display the new figure with the old Carrie Fisher signed base...

Can’t wait for tomorrow! It’s an instant order for me. [emoji1319]

It's up on the blog...$550 for the EX...PVC portrait and hands...

If I remember correctly, I think I paid $279 for the first one.

It's a nice pose, too bad the gun and the portrait are off. I still maintain the original is vastly underappreciated (especially for its time).

I was planning on getting this but not for $540. Looks like i'm about done completely with SS. Too greedy.

completely agree. same with obiwan. I really like the portraits on both of those.

the new price point is just that. and it will only get more expensive next year. I have no clue how people are so ready to fork over more than $500 for something so basic. I will wait for deals in the aftermarket, which are a certainty.

It's not perfect but I really like it. Anyone else thinks that the Death Star Plans is actually an awesome exclusive if you're a complete Star Wars geek....? :yess:

what the hell is up with this price?

What is wrong with them?

The Bespin Boba was a more busier piece and cost $439 and that came out in 2016, while Jango Fett, a very similar piece came out last year at $499.

This is a nice piece but for $550? really?

I get small increases, especially with different bases and such but are they serious with this?

That’s the price pfs go for now. It’s actually lower than I expected compared to Marvel and DC.

So, anyone else want to make the argument that Jyn- with a more complex and layered costume as well as a full on alternate head sculpt- at $50 less (with an almost certainly lower ES) is not a substantially better value?

Yes, Leia is far more iconic and popular. It's also going to have an edition size to prove it. But what is here is basically a head sculpt and a single yard of cloth, stitched from a very simple pattern. Apart from that, nothing that is here is complex. The rest is utterly generic- the mannequin, the generic pose (they even took the easy way out and didn't even try to have her holding the blaster with both hands which would have been an iconic stance).

Given that these are mass produced collectibles, if anything the higher ES on the more popular characters should yield economy of scale advantages. Instead it's just the opposite.

I don't see how anyone can dispute that this particular figure, however much you may like it, is not wildly overpriced.

Oh I get that, I just can't help but to point out how ridiculous this price hike is.

Not many of their stuff are selling out and next to their choice in characters and poses (tap dancing Luke and ugly Han), the price point is the major reason.

This thing should be $450..maybe.

It’s a beautiful piece but I do think it’s a harder sell. You can get the Rey for $480 and Jyn Erso for $500 and both are more complex and detailed pieces especially in regards to mixed media.

Kind of weird that Han and Luke are from Empire Strikes back and the rest are from A New Hope... Seems they should of had them all from the same movie... otherwise makes for a bit weird grouping..

Luke is the worse looking of the bunch, horrible pose... It's weird with Leia, her left profile shot looks like the actress but the other side of her face not so much...
