I accidently dropped my laptop out the 9 story window:monkey4. ???? happens...

Say, you're selling your inventory, no????...Do you happen to have Galactus EX or General Grievous PF!????...I'm interested.....VERY INTERESTED!

where was your professionalism and constructivity? i didn't see it.

moving on. I like the PPO system in itself. the issue for me is whether SSC truly needs to make items as limited as they seem to think. personally I think they should either make the # announcement up front or give a window for how long the ex will be available and however many buy during that time, thats the limit.

I am not a fan of the TBD thing they do.

I don't get why they do TBD either. They tried the window availability thing with the Darth Maul 12", they called it an inclusive edition. I thought it was a pretty good idea but alot of people hated it. I think when it comes to exclusive editions for popular items Sideshow will never be able to win. Too many and people complain and they have a bunch leftover that they have to give big discounts on. Too few and people miss out and gets pissed.

I would say yes to 1, don't know for 2, no for 3 and yes for 4. 4 is obvious, because EXs are limited to 1 per customer. Yet despite this fact, there are some here who gloat about the fact that they have 2 or more on order(and obviously don't care about fairness, not to mention the Golden Rule)Yes, every action that violates the Golden Rule is wrong.

I think the problem with increasing the ES is the cancelations. And I don't mean the extra cancellations just because the ES is too high. I think even when we have a reasonable ES a lot of people will still cancel. This leaves SS with a lot of stock that takes too long for them to move. The Abomination is a perfect example. The Abomination sold out quickly and had a low ES but is still sitting in SS inventory.

Abomination actually has a rather high ES. The fact is that not that many people want to pay $500 for a huge statue of an ugly green monster and have it in their homes. 150 would have been more like it. Problem was that there were about 300 more orders made based upon the speculation that it would go up in value, because those people figured that SS would only make about 150 of them because that is what you would figure a company would make of a huge ugly rather unpopular character like Abomination, and everyone felt that it would increase in value. It was people buying it with the intent to scalp them that inflated the ES, and then had cold feet because the ES was too high to then make a profit on the SECONDARY market. It's very detailed, but it's STILL a big ugly monster, and most people don't like big ugly monsters, and so the ES needs to be maybe one third that of a popular character to sell out completely. When it comes to Wolverine, 350 would be a very low ES. even 500 would be a very low ES. At least 600-750 would be an appropriate ES, as far as selling them all out. I really think the Rogue comiquette had the right size ES. Second chance, but they all sold in a few months. Galactus LSB should have been about 100 higher.

As I lost out on the PPO again, I was a bit pi???d off, but aren't we all? I wanted an answer. I could have asked the simple question about PPO'S, but I felt I needed a catalyst to get a bigger reaction. (a reason for selling my entire collection for an insane price) By acting angry, desperate and throwing my toys out of the cot, was another way to expose the freaks who constantly annoy others by answering threads with information that just doesn't belong.
Not only did I get a great response to the question, but also separating the good, bad and the ugly. From the freaks who are genuinely understanding, the sympathetic, the vultures who are blinded by greed, the freaks who like to kick you when you're down and for those who are neutral. Thankyou to the ones who answered the question professionally by the way.
I now understand, even on a forum like this, where we are all supposed to be "family", I can't help but thinking some don't deserve to be here. I just had the balls to go that much more, to provoke an answer and to possibly ruin my reputation in the process. With all said, I apologize to Sideshow specifically, for some of the comments I made, but this was my message, that I hope gets through. As for my collection, it has been 10 years in the making, still can't wait for my next delivery. I will never stop collecting and for my fellow freaks who actually care THANKYOU. SIDESHOW RULES EVERY SINGLE DAY :banana
