Priority Pre-Order...Unfair to those that WORK?

I never cared about it before but now that I will be collecting the Indiana Jones figures this is something I'm somewhat concerned about.

I'm in Virginia..East Coast....and like some of you I have a full-time job and in particular, my job does not allow access to the "public" internet for business reasons and on top of that, even if we did, I can't sit there hovering on the Sideshow's website waiting for something to go on sale when I got bosses and work around. I'm busy most of the time anyways.

So when some exclusive goes on sale here at 1 PM Eastern Time (10 AM, Pacific Time)...especially that's in demand, obviously I can't get to it.

So is there any way that Sideshow can possibly "move" their priority pre-orders to the afternoon both for the Pacific time and then again for the people all the way here on the East coast?

Or perhaps have a SECOND Priority Pre-Order later in the day and they can allocate some Exclusives for that as well?

Or maybe just get RID of PPO all together and use the Newsletter to announce pre-orders are up. That works for most people that can't get to the site earlier because I know the Newsletter doesn't show up for people here in the East till around 9:30-10 PM.

Anyone have any experiences with this?Frustrations, etc.?

My bad...you see, never before have I ordered Sideshow figures with PPO because frankly before the Indy and GI Joe licenses...they just didn't interest me. I don't care for $tar Wars or LOTR, etc.

So it's somewhat of a new realm for me.

You can call them and place your order. It's a win,win for you. Boss walks by and sees you on the phone and he thinks you're doing work.

I was travelling during one PPO and called in my seat on the plane before taking off and was able to secure my exclusive figure before they sold out!

Its a good idea to have a PPO buddy if you can't order yourself. Or use the phone. I had to have my wife order stuff for me 2 years ago since I always had a meeting during Friday PPOs. Its annoying, but no matter what they do someone gets screwed.

if they move the PPO to afternoons is that fair to those who work in the afternoons? i work different shifts and ive been very lucky to be around for most of the preorders i want. i hope the toy fair stuff PPO's this week cuz i have my mornings open all week. i did miss out on ANH Luke but i got my waitlist in about 1 hr after he sold out so im hoping it will convert before he ships.

Waitlists are another thing to keep in mind. I know its not as assuring as having an actual order but I think alot fo them go through if you get on asap. Of course there's still the problem with those things like the Bronze Yoda vs. Dooku that only have a es of 100.
