Any members here done any professional voice talent work?

I've always wanted to do voices for animated TV programs and I want to know how you break in to the field.

Any tips would be awesome!

Thanks!

Have you done any Youtube videos or anything?

Not yet. I'm a bit too much of a perfectionist and I don't like what I look like when I do voices. :)

Maybe I'll quickly throw something together this weekend and post it here. I think you guys would give me some criticism. :lol

You don't need to show yourself doing it. I'd rather see you take an old film clip or cartoon and try to do appropriate voices for the scene, make it funny or something. It'll also help you develope some comedy timing and writing skills too.

It would probably help you to get into the field if you build a decent "portfolio" online and see if you can get some fans.

Voice Over work is always something I thought would be an awesome job to have. Especially for commercials and cartoons.
