The pose and the scale doomed this piece sadly.
I also wanted to get it. Hope CM makes him.

I think the pose alone doomed this one as it isn't a bad size in reality, why they went with it is beyond me, why they didn't alter it after a complete lack of interest and plenty of people shouting they'd buy it if the legs weren't fused together boggles the mind....
Yes, fellow Matt, I completely agree about the legs fused together being a very odd & poor design choice. That aside, I actually quite like the pose.
I really would like this character in my collection & if I thought, for a second, that this would be the only high-end statue of the Engineer that we'll see for the next 10 years then I'd probably snap him up, fused legs or not.
But I'd hate to buy this guy only for a 1/4 scale to appear in the next 2 or 3 years.
I'm def holding out for a 1/4 scale piece. Don't make sense how the new price norm for a 1/4 PF is $400.00 (and that's with intricate switch out parts and tailoring) yet this is at that exact same price point? Some of you will say that the reasoning is because of an expected intricate paint app etc etc but I'm not buying that (literally). This piece should have DEF been more reasonably priced for a solid (or possibly hollow) sculpt with NO switch out parts, NO tailoring, a TINY THIN base and smaller scale. For me, an obsessed fan, Id love to own this piece... But the days of throwing Sideshow loot for everything and anything Alien related has passed. I'm more focused now and only throw em cash if I feel the piece is totally worth it and to me... Their price point missed the mark.

Yeah, $400.00 is completely over the top for any 1/5th scale statue. They still haven't shifted all their 1/5th scale P1 statues yet & that's 20inch at $300.00.
& besides, I just purchased a Freddy Krueger Ex from ebay.co.uk for £300.00 today so that has pretty much wiped out my collector money until the end of the month.
Bidding only reached £205? Did you offer 300?
I put in a max bid of £320.00. Which is literally all I could afford. But it ended in a no sale because the reserve was not met.
Then about 20 mins later I saw that the seller had re-listed the item. They had bidding starting at £150.00 or buy it now for £300.00. That seemed like a really good deal so i bought it for £300.00.
My main concern is that it's being delivered by Economy Delivery. Meaning either Royal Mail or Parcel Force. Either one doesn't offer any insurance on any resin items meaning the driver could pull over to the side of the road, take the box out & smash it on the floor & start kicking it around & the simple fact is that both the driver & the company would be completely unaccountable for the damages.
I really don't know why any UK sellers of high end collectables on Ebay would ever use them.
They probably think that this "thing" will fly off the shelves. That may explain the price point.
Hey, were pretty good really (RM) and parcel force are a sister company. If anything you'd think the new pricing models would scare people off of sending larger items. I sold an X52 joystick on ebay and was shocked that it cost me almost £14 to post with a signature Prices will only get worse now we are being privatised.
A rare Low ES suggests otherwise..
Why would the driver do that?
I'd rather them than Yodel any day.
Looks like Prometheus Engineer Maquette in work......
