I don't remember a thing about it, unfortunately. I think he called it a "Tim Bradstreet Punisher" head, but I'm not sure.
I actually like most of the iterations of the Punisher, I do like the trenchcoat version, too, though I was never a fan of John Romita Jr's art.
I'm intrigued by the fact that in this new Punisher comic coming in 2009, they depict him in the classic white gloves and boots. While I think it's a fun look on the comic page, it does feel very unrealistic. Frank really would need to pretty much wear all black to stay concealed. The skull makes some sense if it's on a vest, since you'd obviously rather be shot in a kevlar vest than any other part of the body, and a shooter's eye would presumably be drawn to the skull.
meh, not too big a fan of the look from the new movie. i think i's the bombsquad armor. either way, just meh. 
But it works perfectly as a false target. Just like Batman's yellow emblem was bullet proofed as a false target. Realistically, a nice big white skull makes total sense if your head is unprotected.
