I thought that movie was amazing. I'd give it an A but the critics hated it. What are your feelings on that movie?

But he was a bit too thin to play the Punisher who is a huge hulking man. But who cares.

I thought it was a decent film. It's just a shame he didn't come back to do the sequel in the original form which I think was to be a lot different to war zone.

I liked it, but I also am a huge Thomas Jane fan. I really liked the fight with Kevin Nash. Also gets bonus points for having Ben Foster in it.

Two things that brought it down are John Travolta, and Rebecca Romijn. The biggest hack in hollywood, and the biggest mystery of a person who people think is beautiful.

I like it the best out of the Punisher movies. It's a nice 80's throwback where Punisher belongs.

It was all kinds of awesome, right up until the cheesetacular car lot explosion at the end. The fight between Castle and The Russian (Jane and Nash) is definitely classic! Save for the bull____ political statement hidden in Jigsaw's recruitment, I felt the same about War Zone too.

Harry Heck ftw.

Like that song?
I wrote that for you.
I'm going to sing it at your funeral.

You killed my son.
::: BOOOOOOM :::
Both of them.

War Zone was enjoyable to.

I lol'd when Punisher blew the thugs face off with a shotgun.

I like the Thomas Jane version due strictly to his performance. The man is a great actor! I like WarZone better since it was closer to the MAX comics. Of course as a Huge Punisher geek I watch both of them often, Warzone is one of my favorite Blurays. Speaking of Blurays I wish Lionsgate would get off their ass and Put the extended Cut of the 2004 film on Bluray, the theatrical edition is one hell of a sub par Bluray.

Pretty much my exact thoughts on the film. I ____ing love that brawl with the Russian. One of my favorite marvel movie moments, period :rock

Also really enjoyed the showdown with "Johnny Cash."

hated travolta and hated the castle massacre at the beginning. think it would have had more impact if the deaths of his wife and kid been less over-the-top. but still love the movie. had lots of ennis dillon elements to it.

I will watch all 3 Punisher movies as Punisher is one of my all-time favorite comic characters. (Yes, I tend to lean more towards 2nd and 3rd tier characters.) The 1989 was on too low of a budget to succeed and also it was direct-to-video which is never a good thing. Lundgren did a good job capturing the no-nonsense essence of the character but the script just was poor. Jane to me was a perfect Frank Castle and a great Punisher. People need to remember that in that one, you see the evolution of the Punisher, whereas the 1st one and the 3rd one already have him full blown Punisher. So obviously there are going to be softer moments as Frank Castle and the family scenes, etc. To me it added more depth and impetus to become the Punisher. The Jane one was based off some of the Garth Ennis tales and art by Bradstreet and I just really liked it. The 2007? 2008? version for me was void of anything other than pure violence which was too far in that direction. The comic is violent but Jane balanced out the character and even Lundgren did a better job in my opinion. Ray was too stoic and the script was terrible. I see why Jane passed on it. I know he didn't like the 1st draft, then they got rid of the director and there was a state of limbo and Jane wrote some letter to the fans saying that he couldn't wait around forever and that the script they were going to do, he just couldn't stand by, so he left the project. (Jane's a big comic fan himself, particularly The Rocketeer.) So it sucks as we never got to see Jane in a full-blown Punisher movie after the origin tale.

I absolutely love this movie and none of my friends can figure out why lol. I think Jane was awesome and his one liners were written and delivered flawlessly. I cannot stand John Travolta unfortunately; so him as the main badie was hard to take.

I have the original DVD, extended DVD and the blu-ray. The extended version does help it in explaining some stuff but also showcased how horrible of an actor the guy cast to play Travoltas kid is.

It was a great movie. My favorite Punisher movie for sure. Love this scene as well!

I liked it a lot, hated travolta;
I liked that they based the script a bit to the comics "Welcome back franck"
and Jane made a pretty cool Punisher.

Still like the vibes and atmosphere to War zone better and stevenson is really THE tim bradstreeet punisher.
