Would any of you like to see a Punisher TV Series?
Perhaps titled Punisher:War Journal?
I'd like to see it done, an hour or half hour show on HBO putting Frank Castle in all sorts of situations helped out by Micro.

Re: Punisher TV Show?

Would have to be an HBO or Showtime series. I would be interested in seeing how it would turn out, but it wouldn't be my first choice for comic characters to be made into a TV show (particularly with the cheap cost of special effects today, making unthinkable shows 20 years ago very possible). Honestly I think Punisher has had more than his share of live-action exposure with 3 (!) separate movies.

i would love to see that! would be so sick!!! Punisher FTW.

Yeah, if the stories are good, done well and on HBO or Showtime and rated MA, why not? Its not like it was a singular graphic novel.

It would have to be a huge hit to be successful. I personally don't see a Punisher TV show lasting more than one short season.

I think Punisher would work better as a series than a movie. With the right cast, it could be good. With Ray Stevenson, it'd be great.

i think it could definitely work on HBO or Showtime. it would be awesome in the fact that it wouldn't require much CGI work and that they could get all kinds of stuff from the books to throw in there.

very bad idea imo. a punisher without blood, gore, decapitations and such.....not for a tv series.

umm... you didn't specify animated or live action.
if animated - yes. live action - no.
there has never ever been a decent comic book based live action show. can't be done.

Constantine would've worked better as a show I think. Sans Reeves of course. I think this really would've appealed to the Buffy/Angel and Supernatural crowd.

Comic book shows are across the board crap. It's a hugely missed oppotunity, imo. With a television show you've got a lot more time to build up characters and give things some depth. Whereas comic book films are generally a three part plan:

-origin
-crisis
-resolution
