It is wool. They’ve updated the product listing after I queried it on Facebook
Thanks, I corrected my post. I was reading through the thread and realized many have already pointed out the things I have, that's what happens when you are a slow writer I suppose. :doh

Not a fan of the head sculpt. Those big eyes look goofy and the facial hair looks more like dandruff or ash spread on his lower face than hair. The suit and accessories look good, though, but I'm curious to see how they'll hold up during production.

There probably aren't a lot of people here interested in it but figma teased a 1/12th figure, so I'll probably just go with that. Likely be a third of the price and I'll have more monster options to display him with.

Yeah I don't like visible joints on figures and I don't collect 1/12 . But it does look like a pretty decent model, didn't know it existed so thanks for heads up.

It looks like a big improvement over the previous attempts by third parties and props to them for using genuine materials like real leather and metal chainmail. The wording on the hair material is odd indeed, it looks like wool in the promotional pictures but the listing says it's synthetic? I suppose we'll have to wait for the final product to understand that one. EDIT: They've confirmed it's wool.

The accessories are what was to be expected, some sign effects would've been cool and the permanent blood on the silver sword is a bold decision I don't think many people will care for. The inclusion of the cape, monster heads and a proper base is nice though.

They also seem dedicated to the line, they teased Ciri a couple of times in the promotional pics.

The thing I don't like is the sculpt, it looks very "old school" to be generous. I'm also concerned about how well they can implement rolling eyes. The likeness itself is also a letdown, it looks more like their most recent statue scaled down, instead of the in-game model.

No brand has nailed his actual in-game look and Pure Arts is no different.

My post probably seems a bit whiny considering what a great package this figure seems but when I look at the price of €399 not counting import fees and their previous 1/6 scale offerings, it's hard to not be nitpicky. I wanted to upgrade my Master Team Geralt and Ciri but I'll have to wait this one out as well.
It's just crazy to me that no company, licensed or otherwise can get his face correct. Especially after given in-game models to work off of.

Why is his jaw overblown like he got stung by a bee? His eyes also look extremely cartoonish and big. It's like they took his face and stretched it out.

I think custom is where it's at if you want the best Geralt likeness imo. I just ordered one today from Forest Totem, it's costs $285 but worth if for a diehard fan.

I don't know either, it's a shame no one can nail his face. It's probably a mix of CDPR providing them with the CG model from the trailers and promotional material instead of the in-game one and PureArts not having the sculpting, painting and casting skills of Hot Toys.
I don't want to detract from this thread or PureArt's announcement but LIM and Master Team indented to collaborate together to make a new 1/6 Geralt next year but it's dead in the water now. I really wish it could've happened since the sculpts would be using the game model as a base.

At least some custom artists like @TwistedMetal have done a great job at capturing the in-game likeness.

Frank Jaegar also had a pretty good 3D render of his Geral sculpt.

This in my opinion is the best Geralt being made. The clothes being real material the accessories all of it looks amazing. Compared to MT Geralt which was decent but very half-assed attempt. I hope this keeps the same quality and they continue the line might even preorder a second. I just calculated the shipping costs of this for me, it balloons up to a whopping €550 with the shipping and taxes costs included.

Jeez where do you live? On an remote island lol.
It's $375usd/€360 shipped to here in UK. I got it for $346 shipped cause of a coupon. PA told me there should be no fees as they have warehouses all over the world, but could still depend where u are.

I live in a country that screws us over with import taxes lol, for me the shipped price is almost €460, which is already a lot considering PureArts's track record, then I calculated the taxes which results in the insane price I got. This is why I only get my figures through OneSixthKit now, shipping is already included and he works through the IOSS system so I don't have to pay any taxes and wait for customs to clear my stuff.

Ah that's fair, maybe Kit will supply this in his site :)

Some shots look great, others not so much. Will wait for final product photos before deciding. If I had to pay aftermarket price for it, so be it. I won't risk preordering a PureArts figure.

Sound's like we'd pay pretty much the same, $568 for me... o_O

Also, that Ciri they're teasing looks like it could just be the statue they recently revealed.

*edit Nevermind. Just noticed the photo where shes handing him the sword. Unless they're using the MT figure. lol

You guys didn’t cancel it because of this announcement right? :( I think most would still pick up the version that you guys do over this. I rather put money down towards a proven team.

I'm fine with Lim not getting our hopes up, maybe they can do better but it won't be Rooted, and take a million yrs. PA usually on time from what I've bought with them from in the past.

We folks overseas have it really bad lol I'd only consider pre-ordering this if Kit had it but from what I know it seems you can only get PureArts' stuff through their own store. Either way it's probably wise to wait this one out regardless given their 1/6 scale output and I'm not a fan of the sculpt.

It was only ever a plan that never went beyond some 3D work. LIM and Master Team are already collaborating on a few projects, some unannounced, and Geralt was planned to be one of said projects in a more distant future, but not with rooted hair or anything of the sort. It was already suspected that PureArts had the license for 1/6 Witcher so that project was never given priority either. So I'm not sure if it's cancelled, but there's less incentive to go forward with it right now as there's an official offering available that looks pretty good in it's own right, just misses the mark on the sculpt.
