Looks like the Assassin's Creed Desmond figure by PureArts just released:

Maybe it'll give a hint of the quality to be expected of their upcoming Geralt figure...

To be honest I thought the Desmond figure was already released a long time ago... Preorders were up two years ago...

Looks close to the prototype

Sharpness was definitely downgraded overall on the sculpt like in the hair and skin but the prototype wasn't even that amazing to begin with. Probably the same level of sharpness downgrade you'll see with Geralt. Who knows what the rooted hair will look like though.

I just preordered with Geralt with Timewalker Toys. If the head sculpt ends up looking terrible, I’ll just replace it with the Master Team Geralt head. Or if my OCD kicks in, I might even get the custom head from Twistedmetal since his custom Geralt head looks fantastic, which can match the really good looking armor of the Pure Arts version.

Twisted metal heads are almost $300 on its own, so it's an expensive upgrade but possibly worth it. Also note the PAs head is a full neck, you'll need to get some sort of neck adapter to hit it with a custom head

That's all that can be done if the sculpt comes out bad. If PA hired good artists and what we see is what we get I'll be happy especially if they can keep the quality of the figure the same. I'm glad they got the outfit right. I wonder how he'll scale with other figures in 1/6 as it would suck if he us shorter then most.

Yeah, that’s why I couldn’t justified the price despite how good it looks cause the head would cost more than the entire Master Team Geralt figure.

I think it's the currency exchange rate that's the problem here. Shipping costs might even be cheaper with Gundamit but I'm not sure about that, just a guess. I'm not from Canada.

Seems retailers added another 100$ on top. :monkey4

Not really, no.
For Europe I get these prices:

PureArts.jpg

€399, VAT included, shipping extra.

Gundamit.jpg

€409, (VAT usually included as well) and free shipping to many countries.

So, depending on the shipping costs PureArts will charge, Gundamit might even be the cheaper option.

The problem Glitch is facing is the poor exchange rate from USD to Canadian dollars. For an already quite expensive figure... that's the killing point...

Bigbadtoystore has him for 349.99$ + 4$ shipping within USA. Guess that gonna be cheaper than PureArts but they get stock pretty late.
For people in the US that's a great price. Well... better at least.
But for anyone outside the US VAT and custom duties might hit hard. Does BigBadToyStore offer an option to pay VAT upfront? Or do they at least write a lower value on the package?

From my experience they don’t put invoice with a price in the package. I ship first to the US freight forwarder address, and then forwarder ships to my country, so Idk how their direct overseas shipping work. Overseas shipping isn’t 4$ anyway so better buy either from China or local retailers.
