Cool, thanks for the info Andy, really looking forward to seeing a completely finished Kaylee.

I wonder if the 1/6 scale statue of River will be the classic DVD cover pose....

You know we did an animated version of that pose a few years back:

She sold out in about a week. Sells for crazy money now on the rare occasions someone puts her up on eBay.

I always loved that piece :yess:

Wow! Firefly and Buffy licenses? Could an Angel license also be in the works??? I am very much interested in what is going to be produced. I am liking what I am seeing so far with Mal. These shows are some of my all-time favorites, so I am always on the lookout for cool collectibles from them. Looking forward to seeing more!

Angel's on standby for now. Want to get some good Buffy stuff out there and see if the fans like it before we go there.

We have two products debuting at SDCC: An animated figure, but in a style I can guarantee you've never seen before for this property. The other product is, well, something you've not seen before for anything. It's fun and inexpensive and everyone's going to want one :wink1:

Andy,
Any chance of QMx doing Firefly busts? Love the 1/6 scale figures and will be picking a few up but would love to see some great looking busts done. Really limited on space. Maybe get Trevor to sculpt the heads.

Would also love to see some more Ghostbusters stuff.

Thanks-

Busts... well, I gotta admit to not being a fan of busts, so probably not the best person to evangelize them. We did a super-high end realistic bust for Super 8 that was pretty freakin' awesome – Neville Page even did the master. But it didn't ultimately sell very well.

I'm not saying "no". Just saying someone's gotta give me a compelling case for what we can do with a bust we can't do with a full figure before we go there.

Ghostbusters – yes! We have four new figures we'll be showing at Comic-Con :)

Ooooooo ghostbusters!

Hi Andy, yes I was well aware of that one, which while the basic pose I want (it's not an exact match for the DVD cover), that's just not the style or type of items I collect.

I've always wanted it as a 1/4 PF, with a real fabric dress, no blood and exact match to the DVD cover. If I can't get that, then a 1/6th scale polystone statue will do.

Hey there, BuffyGirl! Thanks for the kind words, especially about WH13. That show is very near and dear to our hearts and we made a lot of life-long friends working with the WH13 team.

BTW, you might like to know we have acquired the rights for Buffy as well. And we're *very* close to debuting two new products for that as well! (I think you'll like 'em both)

Well, at least I know how my money will be spent over the next long while.

Congrats to QMx on that one.

Ummm, yeah, gonna need some clarification on that Ghostbusters news. Is that 4 1/6 Ghostbusters figures to be shown at SDCC??

Or is that 4 new 1/6 figures to show at SDCC and one of them is a Ghostbuster??

Annnndy can you clarify on the ghostbusters? I am close to grabbing the Mattel line... Lmk

Hey guys - don't get ahead of us - I *never* said 1/6 scale. Our first Ghostbuster figures are animated style.

Sorry for the confusion!

I hope the Buffy license is put to good use. Would love a 1/6 statue line from the tv series. Can already picture a statue of Buffy from The Gift episode at the end. Also with talk of wanting busts, I wouldn't mind a bust of Buffy herself from Bargaining part 2. That look on her face when
she thinks she was pulled out of heaven and into hell
makes it one of my fav eps.

As for Firefly, I can't wait to see how that Kaylee static (that's name for the statue line now?) piece turns out. I really wanted to get Mal, but that flag is just too much for me personally. So far Kaylee with a possible parasol definitely works for me. Yet I'm most excited for River and what look/pose she will have. Even if she has something so big and out of sorts like Mal with the flag, I will most likely still get it since it's River. :lol

@QMxAndy Actually I'm still waiting for some cute Doctor Who maquettes, guess that's not gonna happen since the last time I asked about that Tennant was still the incumbent Doctor...stilll, I'd really appreciate a clear answer if you're still planning to make anything Doctor Who related or if that license has expired or you just rather make other things or whatever.

What an absolute amazing figure and one I have anxiously waited for. I hope it looks as good in hand. Great job, this will be a line I buy the whole cast.
Thanks for making them.
You know what this makes you.............

Well with the huge Firefly fan base and how well some of the smaller limited collectibles sold. It seems that quality busts would sell well. Not all collectors have the space for a series of full size 1/6 scale statues or care for the 1/6 figures (just as your not a fan of the busts). As a collector that lives in an apartment I can fit multiple busts on one shelf of an IKEA display or only one statue. To me I think you can get more bang for your buck with quality busts vs. statues. Being limited on space I look at my collecting this way do I get all the busts (if available) or only one statue. So would you rather get $200 once from a collector with limited space or $75 nine times from the same one?

Really looking forward to seeing what QMx has in store for us at SDCC. Really excited about the Ghostbusters stuff coming.

Disagree. As one of the people who would be paying the $200 for the statue, or the 1/6 figure, I wouldn't even consider adding the bust to my collection. So essentially they would be losing my money and others like me.

Hi Liz - thanks for your note. I'm sorry to say we developed a whole line of adorable Doctor Who figures, but the BBC simply wouldn't approve them. So I'm sad to say they'll likely never make it to collectors, despite our best efforts.

Sometimes studios are your greatest asset in the development process. And sometimes not.

Sorry if I made it sound like an either or situation. I think they should do a line of busts in addition to the statues and figures. As I see from your collection you have the space for statues. I on the other hand don't and would like to have a set of Firefly busts instead of just one statue of Mal or Jayne.
