I think the figure just sitting in the box looks better than the one displayed. The lighting and the pose are just killing it. Definitely need some high quality shots.

Yes, i think a more square on photo should make it look better. Hoping a little futzing is all that's lacking.

That looks awful. The boxed figure looks better in that picture. Not sure you can blame it on lighting because the Picard figure looks good.

The paint looks pretty flat on the Mal figure. Is it the proto or could it be a production piece seeing as it is meant to ship 4th quarter?

It's impossible to tell anything from that pic. Why the hell would they place a lamp inches from the figure? Every pic is going to look awful.

Took some pics at SDCC. The paint on the face is a bit meh. Still worth getting IMO.

Yeah, that's not great paint. And the lighting isn't helping.

But I'm more concerned that the head seems way oversized now. It can't be the same promo they showed before, can it? That one was scaled much more realistically.
