No I actually think that Chekov is an essential character...far more essential than Chapel or Rand...and should be made to complete the collection. I am only offering that since Chapel and Rand were in season 1 and Chekov was not Nanjin or QMX may have a justification for waiting...not saying we have to agree with it but they could make a case that they are covering season 1 before they get into season 2 characters. Retroactively Chekov is more important but in 1966 Rand and Chapel were more important characters because Chekov did not even exist. While I agree that Chekov is more essential I would still take a Chapel or Rand figure over Chekov any day but that just comes down to my opinion of which characters make for cooler figures and nothing more.

Nurse Chapel is actually my tribute to Mr and Mrs Roddenberry just like McCoy's ring and Scotty's missing finger. Dont worry about Chekov. He will show up, and he is the easiest one to make, essentially a same figure as Sulu except the sleeve braids and head sculpt. This means all I need to worry is the head sculpts, everything else are more like pulling the correct parts from the Sulu lot. Note that I technically leaking info. But one of the objective for 2019 is to have informed customers. So, I am just releasing info om2 steps ahead.

Essentially TOS series will have a major push this year to clear the path for other Trek figures. Once the ball is in the hands of the buyers in 2020, then the depth of TOS is controlled by the market. You guys determine how deep can we go with TOS. At the same time, other series which we believe that have least amount of Trek competes Trek issuea will be introduced.

Thanks for keeping us clued in nanjin, proper communication with fans and customers is one area where I think a lot of companies really drop the ball these days, so your efforts to share what you can, and some of the thought processes behind certain decisions, is always appreciated.

Thanks for all of the great communication Nanjin! I cannot wait for Nurse Chapel. One of my biggest disappointments was when Diamond Select released pictures of a 6 inch Chapel figure and then it got canceled. A 1/6 scale Nurse Chapel and Yeoman Rand are among my most wanted figures in general. Personally I don't mind waiting a bit for Chekov.

Long story short:

Scotty is stunning. Facial likeness is pretty much perfect in my humble opinion.
Watched some TOS Episodes in anticipation of his arrival, I really think that Nanjin nailed it (again).
He looks even better in person.
