Thankfully I was able to find a McCoy right at the end before they all seemed to disappear. Although that's another one that definitely could have benefitted from a slimmer body and outfit.

Ah I see. Thanks for the info. I’m looking at tracking down a McCoy (probably have to resort to eBay) and was just curious if I needed to watch for anything. I remember hearing they were delicate.

no special concerns with McCoy so you should just nab the best deal you see.

But it kind of sucks now because out of the 5 he is the only one on the weird massive body and will have these sculpted wrist braids.

I?m curious if there?s any moving forward with Star Trek from QMX since Nanjin?s departure.

OK, I'm sorry, I've been away for a awhile for a couple of years and just came back to the forum a few days a go. So I'm not at all familiar with this whole Nanjin history. Is there a quick one-sentence summary someone can throw out there for me so i can understand what everybody is talking about?

I don’t know the exact details, but Nanjin was the person who was overseeing the Star Trek line for QMX. Very passionate fan of the franchise. I don’t know what exactly led to his departure but he left QMX sometime late last year. From what I gather reading the thread it seems like things are a bit up in the air as to what happens next.

Someone got a reply from QMX recently saying they still intend to release Uhura and Chekov, so we can at least complete the TOS line. But that's all we've heard... and frankly even that isn't 100% reliable given all the promises they've made and broken before..

Ok. Just opened my Kirk and damn this is on some Hot Toys level ****!! The base body could be sturdier but the cut, sew, sculpt and paint is friggin superb! If anyone is on the fence and you are remotely close to being a fan of Star Trek, get it now.

Now if I could only get Nanjin to send me one of those stickers!!!

Just got my Kirk and Spock from BBTS, first two of this line. Amazing. Exceeded expectations.
I'd buy a McCoy re-release in a heartbeat and I'm sure anyone else who owns the new Kirk and Spock would too.
Surely QMX will do a rerelease?!?

For the price point being under $200 I think the Star Trek figures are really as impressive or more so than figures by other companies. I mean as much as I like Hot Toys if they ever touched Trek I doubt that a) they’d do as many figures as QMX and b) if they did I’d bet they’d be well over $200.

QMX wasn’t perfect with this line, but giving us six TOS characters plus the chair and one TNG character under $200 each was pretty impressive in my opinion.

I would think it would make sense to re-release McCoy, but who really knows. I just want to know if they’ll fulfill the open pre-orders they have for Scotty and Sulu or if they’ll be cancelled. I’ll begrudgingly overpay for a McCoy, but it’ll suck if I have to track down three figures in the aftermarket. Although I might end up with Khan too. He’s not as essential to me, but just another to add to the lineup.

I've seen the actual figure of Scotty from an Ebay seller. It sold a couple of weeks ago: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Quantum-Me...448378?hash=item1a8e69cdfa:g:tu4AAOSwJFVeFwvy. The likeness is nothing like the image on the box or what i assume are pics of the prototype all over the internet! It is not at all a good likeness and as soon as I saw that I canceled my pre-order from BBTS. I communicated with that seller and expressed my dismay at the terrible likeness, and he said that the Sulu figure likewise is not a good likeness. I can't speak to Sulu as I have not seen the actual figure. I don't really want the Sulu figure anyway, but am disappointed in Scotty as I did want that one.

Also, I don't know if any of you have seen the proposed Chekov figure, but it's the worst: https://www.trektoday.com/content/2019/07/qmxs-chekov-action-figure/

Scotty seems to look decent from the pictures and reviews I’ve seen. :dunno. He’s my favorite outside of the main three TOS characters so I want him either way. Sulu seems alright enough. The Chekov probably looks the weakest from the prototype images.
