I don't personally agree with most of the criticisms raised so far (other than the 'lumpy' sculpt issue, which was also present with Spock, and the arms are a fair point - just not something that bothers me when I had no plans to remove the regular uniform anyway), but folks are free to state their honest views, and should always be, whether one agrees with them or not. These are not cheap items, and it is a very competitive market out there these days, so anytime you launch anything you are going to get a wide range of views, from both potential customers and armchair critics, that's just how it works. So long as people aren't being abusive, such discussions and views should be taken for exactly what they are, a bunch of random personal views and opinions, of all shapes and sizes and perspectives, nothing more, nothing less, which can be paid attention to, or not, at one's leisure.
And at the end of the day, the only opinion that really matters is one's own, and whether they themselves rate something worth parting with their own cash dollars for. Whether their opinion happens to be part of the minority or the majority is largely irrelevant to any collector collecting to their own tastes and wants. Or I'd argue should be, anyway. Everything else is just idle chit chat and (hopefully) interesting discussion to pass the time with. Nothing worth getting too wound up about.
Besides, whining about 'whiners' just makes you, by definition, just another whiner, doesn't it?
