Pretty much on board with getting all of these besides Wonder Woman and Thorin. Not sure in TWD yet but I’ll probably be tempted with how good those prototypes looked. Happy to see Frodo and Sam although I hope Gimli is being worked on as well.

Sadly, it does look like they're moving away from Daenerys and GoT.

But seeing Frodo and Sam is very reassuring for LOTR. Wish they showed that a month ago while Legolas was still available.

It would be sad if they're giving up on GoT. I was hoping for a Night's Watch Jon Snow to be my one representation of the show.

For GoT, I too would’ve loved Night’s Watch Jon Snow to be the ideal Jon representation. For Daenerys, I’d kill for her S3 blue dress Astapor look. I’d go deep with GoT, but I’d at least want them two.

But if they end up going with Winterfell Daenerys, I’m still cool with it. As long as they go with King in the North Jon. That’s when they’re both actually together anyway.

Anyone know what the prevailing sentiment on social media was regarding the Dany proto IA showed off?

If it was mostly ‘This outfit sucks’ ‘Do season 3’ ‘Get outta here with sculpted hair’ ‘S8 killed GoT so I don’t want any figures’ then InArt could have gone back to the drawing board to reevaluate the character or the entire likeness. An outfit change would be the best move imo but they’re not afraid to just drop something if it’s no longer popular- a la Black Adam, M4trix Neo, and Mera.

Of course, the Harris Dumbledore proto was widely celebrated and also absent from this show- so this could all be a non-issue.

The prevailing sentiment was that the entire head-sculpt needed lots of work. The likeness/portrait and half rooted and sculpted hair.

But imo, the majority are fine with the specific look they went with. Most people just want the character. Cause IMO, most collectors are good with whatever companies puts out in terms of selections. Sure, there’s that vocal group that are against the S8 Winterfell look due to narrative reasons, costume preference, and because Season 8 wasn’t well received.

I also don’t think INART views S8 as “bad” like other parts of the world. I read an article where the public reception for S7/8 in China was positively received. The question is are they in tune or privy to the fact that the later GoT seasons aren’t as critically acclaimed or well received in other parts of the world? These things are also not globally licensed, but who knows. Something to consider.

Edit: to add, Seasons 7/8 aren’t even that negatively received when you think about it. It was still great TV and better than most TV schlock. It’s just that the vocal critics/fans really hated S8 cause Daenerys snapped and laid waste to King’s Landing? I mean the pieces were always there that she was descending into madness, it was just poorly executed by D&D.

Terrible actress imo. Thought she was decent in the first WW movie but primarily because she was bouncing off of Chris Pine. Also helped that she was playing the "person lost in the modern world" archetype, which sort of worked with her acting. Just never been a fan of her. Having Batfleck and Cavill together on a shelf will be enough for me.

Yeah I also think she’s terrible, but she was decent in BvS, and it’s cause she had limited screen time and lines lol.

“Is she with you?” will always be iconic to me.

I wish they had done Armored Batman too, cause they would’ve gone perfectly together if you were just going for Supes and Bats.

I’m interested mainly in their HP, Dune, and Terminator lines so looks like I’ll be saving some with their current lineup lol. I wonder what their first reveal with be for this year. My guess is they start off with a bang with Clark Kent/ Superman two pack.

Absolutely they planned to and were already making the die-cast Armored Batman, but then scrapped it/or put it on hold? after HT's 2.0 emerged.

I still want them to do it man. Badly need all three BvS batsuits from them.

I mean realistically how different can an armored batman suit from InArt be than HT? Look I'm just as excited as anyone for new InArt stuff but they know that HT will beat them to market, and there's only so much you can do with that release. It'd be virtually identical in the end. It makes sense they would just cut their losses and pick up with the standard suit because they CAN bring a little more to the table there.

For GoT, I’d go all out in a way.

If they made early seasons looks it’d be dangerous for me cause I’d want all the mains even if they don’t match up together.

Since Daenerys is my fav, I’d collect as many outfits I can, each to represent a different time, like Dothraki, blue dress S3, Slaver’s Bay rule, the S7 grayish Spoils of War outfit, Winterfell, and then her all-leather look from the last two episodes, etc.

And ofc, King in the North Jon.

I’d also love a 1/6 bust of Drogon’s head to pair with a later seasons Dany too. That’d be a dream display.
