I love how because I’m ignored (by several people I imagine), I’m always on the sidelines when it comes to certain discussions lol. Whatever, looks like no one is going to respond.

I’ll just say this, jokes on some of y’all that they might potentially not complete the Fellowship. Should’ve gone for Legolas, y’all.
I personally am not one to put off an order because I'm not sure if they will make the other companions or not. That becomes a double edge sword to were you don't order because they may or may not, and then they don't make the others because not enough people ordered the one made.

If it's from a line I like, then I'm going to order. Hopefully they will then continue that line so I can order more.

I'm with you. I'll use The Witcher as an example. If InArt decided to make Geralt, I'm buying Geralt without worry of them also making Yennifer or Ciri or Jaskier if we're talking about the TV show. And as badly as I want Sully to go with the new Lim Toys Nathan Drake, it was never something I debated. I ordered Nate knowing Sully may or may not come.

Price is my ultimate decider. I've felt $500 needs to be my limit on a single figure. There's two characters I can think of - Daenerys and Galadriel, that I'd pay over $500 for. MAYBE Gambon Dumbledore. Maybe. I just feel it needs to be my limit and Legolas wasn't a character I'd go over it for.

Legolas at $450 though...

Do it..........

I'm a little tired of re-litigating the Legolas price debate -- and jokes on me, 'cause I caved and ordered it, anyway -- but for the sake of discussion, I will attempt to distill down my personal problems with the price point. Hopefully, I'll touch on others' concerns while I'm at it.

I understand that the braids especially are intricate and require skilled craftsmanship, but that feels like a wash when you consider that Gandalf has even more hair, including a rooted beard. You look at those sculpts side-by-side, and the rooted work makes much more of an impact on Gandalf's overall appearance than it does for Legolas.

Then, there's the accessories component. We were spoiled with Aragorn. You get all the accessories you could possibly want to display him as Strider, in full Fellowship gear, in his Amon Hen appearance. He came with a lot of stuff. By comparison, Legolas is light. That's as much a function of how the characters appeared as it is a deliberate choice by InArt -- outside the inexcusable Mirkwood omission -- but it lends to the impression of a more barebones release.

Taken together, you're left with the feeling of "So, I'm getting less hair and fewer accessories, yet I'm paying more?"
Can we get an official word as far as the price listings go? That would change things. Without it, we’re all just baselessly speculating at the end of the day here. But fine, let’s dumb things down.

So in short, the reason why Legolas’s $550 OSK price seemed egregious is cause it’s for the most part, a bare-bones release. Idk, but maybe I don’t agree with this notion is because I don’t even use all the accessories any of these sets bring. With Gandalf, the only things I’ve ever used are both staffs, the cloak, the sword/scabbard, and ofc, the hat and that’s it. It’s what he’s equipped with. It’s his main look. Legolas should’ve brought the Mirkwood bow and quiver, there’s no denying that. Was that the deal breaker? Had it been included, would’ve that made a difference?

Imo, $500 should be the expected price for a rooted standalone character design/figure. This was only $50 more and that’s based off OSK’s price, the highest rate in comparison to competitors. You get the best and rude customer service and quadruple boxed, good communication and updates per FB post, etc. Idk, maybe he added a markup of $25 and personally, I think it’s a good value for peace of mind going through him vs other resellers/retailers.

Re: Popcultcha -- that's $450 shipped to the USA? Now at that price, yes I would have PO'd. Absolutely.

I have a personal problem with Popcultcha -- besides the fact they get things soooooooooooooo late, I have only ordered TWO things from them in my life and both came with missing parts. Replacement was not an issue and they didn't have extra parts. I often see deals with them, but I feel like I just have bad luck with them. The savings is not worth a missing accessory or paint blemish to me.

Besides... with the line being ended at InArt, I'm curious if Legolas will get the care and attention that Paul/Phoenix Joker did or if it will be more like Ledger Joker.

So no... I'm still not POing.

But for those that have good experience with Popcultcha, that's a great price. Unless Trump tariffs hit next year. Then, who knows...?

He mentioned in interviews that they would only do 2.0s if they feel it’s warranted with good enough improvements that they can bring compared to the 1.0. He said they most likely won’t be do straight re-releases, which this isn’t. It’s a 2.0. They’re not reusing the same sculpt and outfit from the first release.
Hope there’s a Gandalf 2.0.

Missed out and and don’t want to pay secondary market prices. Own the Asmus Gandalf Crown but the sculpt is not great.

Amen to that, if Ledger might get a new one, maybe the same goes for Gandalf. I heard things about the magnetic hands being so-so from copy to copy.
