Queen Studios: Iron Man Mark I (1:4)

I have the 1/2 scale on preorder but I'm a sucker and I like the fact that this one has its arm raised. I know the sizing is technically accurate for the specs Marvel provides for this suit, but man I hate how undersized it looks in a display. I feel like I can't put it with the rest of my Iron Man pieces and I doubt QS is going to scale this up for appearances.

Do we think if we raise the helmet we'll get a surprise RDJ sculpt? Wishful thinking...

This does look great but I agree with the size issue. It is smaller compared to other 1/4 scales that it will stand out in any display.

Honestly, I think the base should have a better shape to it. Loki, Black Widow, Cap and even Spiderman have a proper shaped base, and I'd like to see what they have now but on a shaped base to match the other ones....

If feels a bit messy now. I think that is what is throwing me off... it looks like a 1/6 scale Hot Toy piece...

That was my thought exactly, at least with a bigger base they could try to make it look bigger than it is lol

Your response made me realize he's standing on crates in the display. I imagine that was a design choice to make the piece look taller in the overall lineup of Iron Man suits.

Well, the base still kinda sucks but overall it looks really good...including the price point.... yeah, we are not getting a extra head with RDJ portrait but that would have increased the price and, honestly, I would not display it because the pose requires this head...

So...it is on my list

My wallet is ready for the PO. I already know where this guy is going in my display. Was hoping that it wouldn't go live until May, but I'll keep an eye on quantities and PO accordingly since this one has a smaller overseas edition size.

Nice, it'll look really impressive, base aside. Will he be displayed with other 1/2 scales, as he may look a tad undersized in comparison?

Since this is for the 1/4, I'm putting him on a shelf next to my Imaginarium Art MK43. I measured them today and they're around the same height, so it shouldn't look too weird. I have an Iron Man print by César Moreno behind that shelf, and I think the MK1 would look great in front of it. When QS debuts a 1/4 MK3, I think that one may replace my MK43.

I also do have the 1/2 scale on order, and because of the size of that one he's getting his own spot. I was originally going to display him next to my MK50, but after seeing the size differences I decided not to.

Let me get this straight.... The 1/2 scale is $2760, has no switch outs and a standing standard pose... this one is half of that size at 1/4 scale, no switch outs, a dynamic pose it cost 3.5 times less at $795....

Yeah, this piece is worth every penny in my opinion....

Yeah I preordered the MK1 1/2 and the MK7 bust the first day they were shown...before specs were revealed for the height on the 1/2 scale. Lesson learned

The only Mark's released by QS would be Mark I, VII, L, 44 right? I supposed that we'll have 85 and 43 too. Maybe the one in the right is Mark III?

So I ordered....

I wanted to wait until next month but with a ES of only 400, I was afraid that it will not be available next month. But I never know if I piece will sell out or will be available for a long time when it has a low edition size.

For instance, Prime 1 sent me a message 8 months ago that their Velociraptor had low stock remaining and at 250, I didn't want to miss it so I got it. However, it is STILL available.... A wonderful piece like that....

I don't get it but this piece was too good to take a chance on so I ordered and with a flexpay at $54 a month, you can't go wrong

I use to spend that in Starbucks coffee every 2 weeks...

My opinion is that it will sell out faster than we expect, but then again, I might be wrong

Which mark is supossed to be the last one? By the way, i just realised that the bomb on the floor is the one that explodes on his chest in the film!
