Hmm... the pre-production beauty shots look incredible... but don't they always?
For $3,000 or more, I need to see what it looks like in hand... not photoshopped with perfect lighting and perfect hair styling.

If I get the new job I’m applying for, I’m probably going to use the higher salary to justify getting this (or the JND if they make significant improvements.)

Is it bad that the prospect of being able to afford larger and more expensive collectibles is one of the primary motivators for wanting to progress in my career?…

It looks like they tweaked the portrait, as it looks much better now.

Sculpted stubble, too, whereas it seemed to have real facial hair before. I wonder if they'll be offering both silicone and PVC/polystone portraits.
Hmm Idk 🤔 doesn’t looked tweaked to me. Looks like a zoomed in, high-res, full face shot from the initial Wonder fest teaser (left side) which also showed the sculpted facial hair

About the Character
Aragorn, the rightful heir to the throne of Gondor, is a true hero of Middle-earth. Raised in Rivendell and trained as a warrior and leader, his journey from ranger to king is one of the greatest in The Lord of the Rings. Now, you can celebrate his legacy with this incredible statue.

About the Statue
Inspired by The Fellowship of the Ring, it showcases unparalleled craftsmanship, from the rich detail of Aragorn's elven cloak to his iconic sword and intricately designed gear. Advanced techniques, including hair and beard transplantation, platinum silicone, and custom prosthetic eyes, bring this hero to life in stunning realism. The use of real fabric for his clothing adds even more authenticity.

It looks great, I recently did a binge watch of the trilogy. I think the likeness is very close, some angles better than others.

I prefer this over the JND one, materials, likeness and proportions look amazing. Hoping production meets this.

Also, jumping ahead of JND to go on preorder the day prio, tomorrow. Not a coincidence I'm sure.

Just noticed the description says 'hair and beard transplantation' while the images only show a sculpted beard..

Pose is so bad and stiff on this regardless of how nice the clothing is. Love the real fabric boots as that’s a nice touch. Still odd that they’re marketing this as a Fellowship version when it’s clearly from TT/ROTK.

Head is also off but the hair is nice. Mouth is wrong and something about the eyes aren’t reading right to me.

Biggest thing I’m still hearing around (even today with this full reveal) is to not expect what you see from the proto for the final product that you unbox.

Given how other 1/3 QS production pieces (and even 1/1 for that matter) with real hair have come out, I’m pretty inclined to believe them. But maybe this will be different since they’re obviously trying to compete with JND by implementing silicone for this 1/3 instead of being completely resin. I could be wrong but I don’t think they’ve done silicone in 1/3 before this and Gandalf

He wears this at the end of fellowship after he adds Boromir’s vambraces

QS have him in the red shirt which he only wears in TT and into ROTK. He's got the grey shirt in Fellowship.

Not to mention, he only wears Boromir's vambraces in Fellowship at the very end after the battle of Amon Hen without the coat. It's in TT/ROTK that he wears them like he does here in the statue over the coat sleeves.

Ah didn’t notice the red shirt underneath. Either way I’m fine with this outfit and I think the sculpt is fabulous

I feel the likeness looks closest straight on,
views from the sides, above and below loses it completely for me.

Which is a problem for a piece this big where it’ll be viewed from multiple angles pretty clearly.
