Super Freak
Looks good but only when the hair is not lit up too much, as the detail doesn't look great to me. Under a dimmer light it looks fine
Definitely, they look too thick and it doesn't help that Queen changed the hair completelyNeed some better close ups but it looks like there is a paint difference. The standard seems like 720p while the artist is 1080.
I hate how the sculpted hair looks though, Prime 1 did sculpted hair strands better.
100% the proto looks significantly better. Baffling difference. I think the proto head is tilted down more too. Why the hell would they change that?View attachment 577964
I think one of the things besides paint making it look different from proto is the eye decals are smaller. The eyes on the left proto look like a real human
just watched that latest unboxing video and it's probably the best example I've seen. Comparing that video to the prototype video posted above, it's actually closer than I thought. The hair looks amazing, probably the best I've seen. Those last pics look really good. There looks like a little more skin tone showing through with the artist's edition, if I had to guess. Be interesting to see side by side pics eventually
One thing in their favour is that they have left the negative posts on their FB, they're not quite P1 yet loljust watched that latest unboxing video and it's probably the best example I've seen. I did make a post on Queen Studios' Facebook group expressing concerns over the artist edition and asking if they could post side-by-side pics with the sculpted edition. Doubt they will approve the post though lol.
Wow, didn't know about the leaning problems. Glad they corrected it.One thing in their favour is that they have left the negative posts on their FB, they're not quite P1 yet lol
Also apparently the first batch had leaning problems

It does look very thick and all one colourEverything came out great on this apart from the hair. Looks very straw like, thick, thatched and bulbous, nothing like his actual look.
Edit: Looks better in the videos actually. Just needs some futzing and a bit of a trim.

Given the pics of the reg above, I don't see any difference, but the paint doesn't bother me at all now. Just unhappy they changed the hair sculpt when the proto was like this:Comparing the reg and the deluxe, in my opinion, the deluxe has the appearance of hand painted, and the reg looks similar to hot toys, that it looks machine painted.
They both look similar in how much white is painted, they’re both painted a little too thick which gives the appearance they look too similar. But I can see the difference.
The deluxe looks better painted to me, and of course, has the faux hair so I think that’s the big plus
so it it the superior version.
The only downside on the deluxe is that it’s not personally painted by viper, and it’s not numbered.
But you’re still getting a hand painted statue with realistic hair, so if I would have got the deluxe, I really would still be happy with it.
I only got the regular, and from these pics, I’m happy with it.
I can see on FB someone asked for exactly what you requested, on 18th may, not sure if this was you or not. I have a lot of pre orders for queen, some are looking great like the mark 3 bust but we will have to wait and see about the rest. Is definitely something to be wary of for futureI gotta agree. The sculpted hair on the proto was actually quite good. It looks terrible on the production piece. I feel like Queen screwed over both buyers of the Artist Edition as well as the standard edition.
Unsurprisingly, I made a post on their Facebook Group expressing concern over the fact that the paint jobs on both editions look the same and the fact that it was supposed to be painted by Viper and have an ES of 300 but that doesn't appear to be the case, and asked them to provide side by side official photos to show the difference but they didn't approve my post. Very dirty of them to do that.
As it stands, my favourite Joker is still the JND piece, but that may change once I receive this in hand. Not happy with how Queen handled this though.
