I bought a sony bravia lcd last week and I've noticed a certain pattern in the background on dark scenes when watching both tv and whilst watching dvds and blu rays. It's none of the cables , that I'm positive of. The pattern is like fish netting , tightly pulled over the whole screen. Its very very dim and barely noticable but it is bothersome. I've tried everything with the picture settings to get rid of it and it just doesn't want to go. I posted this on the AVForums but only got one answer , has anybody got any ideas as to what it may be ?.
Thanks in advance. :D

Yeah , I've phoned play for a refund. I just hope I don't have any problems with the next tv I buy. I don't think it will be online.
Thanks for the help Sam. :D

Yeah, sounds like you got a faulty TV. I also have a Sony Bravia and there's nothing like that on mine.

I've got a Sony Bravia too, I don't have that issue & this is the 1st time I've heard of it, but I did reject 3 TV's (delivered) before I got one what I considered fault free though!

Dude i have a Sont Bravia LCD also and i definately don't have this problem either.

Sounds like a faulty TV if you ask me dude

Sorry to hear that :(

Cheers guys , I wont be getting a sony again. I wasn't happy with the picture full stop. It looked way to dark and dim to me on normal tv and that is after tweaking with the settings. It was a great tv , I just think I'd be happy with something else.

Is it an HD compatible TV Tay?

My Sony Bravia is, and I sometimes get bad pixelation during terrestrial broadcasts in nonHD and plain old DVDs. Comes with the territory.

yep , full 1080p , this problem persists on everything though , blu ray , xbox and normal tv and I tried everything. Play are picking it up in the morning. :monkey1

Got to get it back in the box tonight. :sick:lol
Thanks for the help mate.

Ah right, definitely faulty then.

Hope you get a suitable replacement sorted. Can't be watching Leon on no portable black and white tellybox now can we? :D

I actually had that prob when I switched to AT&T Uverse. Beautiful picture before switching and crap with it, even though I fiddled and fiddled with the pic adjustments. I quickly switched back to cable and have my lovely picture again!

Yeah , I would imagine if I upgraded to sky or something else the picture would be enhanced. I rarely watch tv though anyway. I might try Samsung next.. they have soem good deals at a local shop here though on LG so... I'm not sure yet. :dunno
Thanks for the help.
