Hey guys, I was just wondering where have you guys been getting your HT figures and Sideshow Statues? The Canadian dollar is so crap right now I can't justify buying stuff straight from Sideshow anymore? Can you point me towards some good retailers dealing in Canadian currency?

I never bought stuff directly from Sideshow. Mostly Toys2, but sometimes Urban samurai hobbies. Also check local sellers on Kijiji. It's painful buying any 1/6 figure now, they're pretty much double the US price once you factor in sales tax and conversion, and shipping if online. Sadly this looks like it's going to be case for some time, if not indefinitely.

Unfortunately the Canadian dollar is hurting right now, and as a result, any collectibles originating from the US will be more expensive. There are a few options you can try. We started a Canadian Statue Facebook group with the purpose of linking Canadians with retailer domestic and international, as well as to other members to sell to each other on the secondary market. Our retailers are posting in US dollars unfortunately because of the fluctuating market. If they post a price in Canadian based on today's dollar, and the product isn't released for another year, the loonie could drop another 10 cents and the retailer will lose. IF you're interested in joining our group here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/canadianstatuecollectorsandbst/?ref=bookmarks

There's also another retailer I often use called Toytards base out of Vancouver. They post all prices in Canadian Dollars: Toytards, Vancouver Figures and Collectables
