It's about time someone made a Quigley!
The sculpt and saddle look absolutely perfect, no need for improvement.
Seeing as how detailed this figure will be I'm thinking it'll be way out of my price range, But I'm interested. :drool

A shot of the basic attire.
The top of the chaps will be replaced by the
more detailed set in the smaller pict.
(The custom leather and clothes work were not done by me)

Whoa - that's very nice leather work! And the outfit looks great. So when will these be ready?

I see you mentioned you commissioned a Ripley sculpt. Was that completed? Pix available?

he said he almost commissioned one, but did not when he learned of the future version from hot toys.:chew

Thats correct.
A couple sources say HT is wrapping up the licensing agreement.
Its 90% certain. If the prototype picts are correct, and I believe
that they are, its pretty much what everybody wants in a Ripley.
The Reeboks, the grenade vest, the weapons, the jump suit.
The likeness is weak but theyve got time to improve it.
It could be that its one of those sculpts that needs to be
stripped of the mass production paint ops and redone.
I might think about doing the likeness if its just flat out awful.
HT could really do it up nice if they wanted.
Maybe throw in some face huggers or Eggs or her flight jacket.
But Ill wait and see.

I project Quigley to be done late summer. (Not in stone)
Not much further.
Thanks.

Absolutely beautiful work going into this figure!
So who's painting the head sculpts, Boot 25?

Face Huggers and Eggs, great accessory ideas if they can't get Sigourney to sign off on a armed figure. I would hope they would at least release the weapons separately in a gun set if that's the deal. looking at the prototype head sculpt, I'm actually quite satisfied with the likeness. I'd buy it as is.

No. Im very familiar with Boot 25's work however.
An amazing talent, so much so I did toy with the idea briefly
of asking if he wanted the job. I decided in the end to keep it
"in house". No regrets either (sorry Boot) The paint ops on
these sculpts are gorgeous. No mass production splash n dash
here. I told them to take all the time needed. Im sure Boot
wouldve done an outstanding job but honestly
I dont see how he couldve improved on these.
Theyre all painted and about to be attached.
Sideshows body is being used. Selleck is 6'4 about so its a good
match. The seamstress was given a SS body in advance so the material
would drape just right.
I promise better pictures of the sculpt.
The ones posted have to much detail washed out. Alot of the subtleties
are gone. Frankly if the likeness wasnt nailed the rest would be a waste.
Youre talking to a fan of Sellecks so Im not going to embarrass myself
by sending him a figure that doesnt look like him.

That's fanTAStic! GREAT JOB!!! I love it! Truly phenomenal, and the likeness is unbelievable!!! Do you have any idea how many hours you've put into this project at this point?

Oh, and: When can I order one? (Seriously!) :monkey3 :lol

More than I care to count. Its an exercise in patience trying to usher a project like this along.
You want everyone to go faster, but alas they have lives, other projects theyre working on, dealing with revisions and revisions of revisions.
The key is to find the best people you can afford and cover them in an avalanche of photo reference. I pray to God (literally) that he keeps everyone
healthy and excited about the project. The right people and items have made themselves available at just the right time during the process so I know
my petitions dont bounce off the ceiling back at me.
It wont be a "place your order" kind of situation. Once I determine a min. cost per figure Ill set a reserve on ebay to cover my investment then see what happens.
If on the other hand someone makes a side offer that "I cant refuse" than by all means Ill listen. Im a good capitalist, Ill entertain all reasonable offers.
Id like to stay in contact with the buyers as I might offer the duster, leather gloves and leather rifle sleeve as a seperate purchase.
How many figures? Maybe 6, but sold and offered at differing venues.
Thanks
