Quint speargun making thread

Guns are more "fun" than heads, for obvious reasons, so that is a breath of fresh air, and I just wanted to show some progress on SOMETHING...it's been so hard to get going lately. Just spent an hour with Ma, trying to convince her that it's a Nursing home she's going to, and not a funeral home. Lots to deal with here. Long days.
So, anyway, GUNS GUNS GUNS! Love em! Can't wait to get to the tubing.

Oh, and everyone thank Sean for his quick full up payment, as that got them ordered quick.

Sorry to hear your struggling with your ma Les, hopefully your work can provide you a little escapism. Just picturing yourself on the Orca chasing after Bruce with that speargun while you're making them.

Not much feedback in here, other than Maulfan. Anyone else getting one of these? Or do I need to wait on them?
I am finishing up the Brody heads soon, so I can move on to other paint stuff and get them out sooner, so if these aren't high on anyone's list, I will work more slowly on them. Let me know so I can work out a priority list. These and the upcoming shark busts are both side projects, so neither are as important as the character heads I guess.
Just keep me informed. I have the five guns I can make. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your Ma, Les. I know it's troubling.

Also sorry I haven't been around the last 5 days or so, just got back from a trip to Houston yesterday. Also I will be moving this month to new digs with my fiance so this month is gonna be BUSY to say the least.

Anyway, great progress, Les. It's fun to see the spearguns take shape. I hope you post more pics of the progress like that.

And yes, I'm still in as you know. I have some big expenses this month with the move and all so there's no rush for me right now. But we'll talk soon I know.

I will work on them as I can, and when they get far enough along, I will start asking for who wants one etc. At some point, there will be seven finished ones, each ready and waiting to join a Quint.
Keep that day in mind.

Wow! That makes eight! Thanks Pjam! We might have enough rifles for everyone here that wants one, to get a speargun!

Sawed off two more barrels of the rifles today, thanks to some sent by Gruff.
That leaves one, from Pjam I believe, and that will be eight total rifles.
I may stop it at that. If anyone else wants in, best to make sure I know. I will be developing the spearguns soon. Just so you all know....

And any comments as to whether I should offer some to the "other" Jaws threads, now that there is some interest out there....not sure whether to or not yet. How long you reckon it will take them to figure out they need a speargun? When Steven gets to Quint?
