after seeing the state of the U.S. financial market, i will be taking a hiatus from collecting starting 2009, just because i am worried and i think i should save my money in case i really need it. anyone else thinking about laying low for a while?

Nope, I've got a stable retirement plan and make enough to sustain my habit. Although I am running out of space... so I'll probably be getting a bit choosier as so much stuff is coming out.

I don't mean to be a ^^^^, but HT is a company I wouldn't bet against.

Wait, now we can't say ^^^^, ^^^^, ^^^^^? ^^^^^? That's an organ. A vital one too! Does ^^^^^ work? No way, ^^^^^ is out too? :lol

it just never ends.............I think the companies need to fold for us to quit! lol

"I'm going to get my kicks before the whole ^^^^^house goes up in flames........ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT!!"

Well respect to you if you can quit.

Luckely I don't have worries about finances, but if I could I would stop.
Never thought these toys could be such an addiction.
(Must say I see them as a complete loss, so never as an investment of some sort, just pure fun)
I am now already happy I quit buying doubles (or even troples or more)

I'm one of the many victim of being outsource in the US.

I try not to think about it, but the job market is quite ugly out there. If the economy doesn't improve, then expect more job losses throughout the industry. No job, no money, no spending...nothing to fuel the economy to create new jobs. I hope things will get better in 1 year from now.

The economy is likely to get worse....I work in sales and I see a downward spiral....I certainly question my future in the retail world....unfortunately only service jobs may only exist, because we hardly manufacture anything...which means, if there is no manufacturing, then people cant fund the servicing jobs.As I spoken before, the US Dollar is losing its value, its going bankrupt!
The dollar is being printed everyday and is backed by NOTHING! here is a hint for all "The Constitution says, only Gold and Silver is to be legal tender"

a Fiat currency eventually fails. We all really should be buying storable food, guns, precious metals and things that can be bartered with while our dollar still has some purchasing power

My thought exactly. My employer was in the Fortune 400 now you can't find his name on the list. 21 people were laid off already. I do Estate Security so I'll be one of the last to go, but it still makes you think.

I would never quit. Only thing is with the Aussie dollar dropping like it has. If it drops any lower will have to rethink ordering anything O/S. This will suck since I source 80% of my stuff out side of Australia.

Well.. the only solution to the addiction is to not surf 1/6th websites, forums, eBay etc etc. so much.

If you don't see you won't be tempted. hahahaha./

Unless 1/6th companies are sending catalogues to your email & housemail.. then BIG PROBLEM i'm afraid.

............I think the companies need to fold for us to quit! lol

And they would only fold if we quit!!

Hahahah Catch-22.
