The economy has never done anything for me. When it's good I'm poor and when it's bad I'm just as poor. Pretty ineffectual really. I'll quit when I'm done with it.

I have been cutting back some. Had to say goodbye to the Asajj PF and seeing as all my money (and morgage) is in WAMU and they are drowning I'm not sure whats gonna happen... I'll never totaly stop though... I'll just become more picky.

"I'm going to get my kicks before the whole ^^^^^house goes up in flames........ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT!!"

If you financially need to quit, then quit.

If the time ever comes when it's eat or play---I'll gladly sell every last one of these little MF'ers.

Our economy is due for a correction. Keeping up with the joneses finally caught up to us, and now it's time to pay (although it's apparently going to be the burden of taxpayers).

Odds are it won't be pretty, but life seldom is---so enjoy it while you can.

You can save, scrimp, worry and prepare your whole life and then crap the bed with a brain aneurysm while watching Lost before anything disastrous ever really affects you.

Nah. I got a basement full of Ramen. Bring on the famine. I'll still be sniffing new plastic. I'm a psych nurse. Biz is better than ever unfortunately.

:lol Funny stuff Ed!

I think being a psych nurse would :rock

Damn....Its getting late and I must be EFFIN' tired!

Hey Aston16..I wouldn't forget about you my friend! :D

And heres a round o' beers for EFFIN' Morrison! :duff

Goodnight Folks! :sleep

I just get what I can... when I can. Money is always tight and figure decisions are made on a case by case basis.

My bills, food and customs supplies and shipping come first. If I can afford anything after that, I get it. Nowadays I just make stuff to fill the void for myself.

They are in danger of bankruptcy. I'm going to find a new home like Bank of America or something else besides WAMU. Make sure you don't have more than 100K in Washington Mutual Bank.

With all the bailing out, the FED can't protect us with their FDIC protection policy.

No worries there. :( From what I hear their regular bank operations will be fine it will just be the sub prime loans that are messed up so who knows.

For 2008, I still have the following 12-inch Figures on pre-order and not yet paid for:

SS Obi-Wan in Armor
SS Indiana Jones
SS Stormtrooper
SS Lara Croft
SS GTG
SS Ki-Adi Mundi
HT Iron Man Mk II

For 2009, only 3 items on pre-order and not yet paid for:

SS GI Joe Snake Eyes
SS GI Joe Cobra Commander
SS Darth Vader

The list shows that I have drastically cut down on my purchases. The worsening worldwide economy is very worrying. I will just be enjoying those figures I already have in my collection and those few that will trickle in along the way.

I am now very selective in my figures purchases and I will only go for something which I really like a lot. I considered all my figures as expenditure and thus they have zero value once I bought them. I never have any intention of re-selling any of my figures which is why I threw away all the boxes as soon as I opened up my figures for display. Thus, in line with expenditure cutting and belt-tightening, my figures purchase will also be facing the "cuts"!! :)

I usually take a break in between buying figures anyway so I'm just gonna stick to that method. I buy a figure or statue and if it's expensive enough then I'll take a few weeks or a month off of buying to save and then get back to it.

Nice, as for me I have:

HT TDK Batman
HT IM Mk3
HT IM Mk2
HT Bank Robber Joker
HT Batpod

I canceled my SS Darth Vader, HT Two Face and Tumbler

I save so much back each paycheck just to do with what I want. I stick it in a can. If I don't have enough in it to get something, then I wait till I do. Right now all I have is pre-order and waitlist items and nothing coming in, so by the time something does come in and my credit card bill comes in, I should have enough saved to pay for it.

Since I live in the boonies without alot to spend money on, I'm usually good to go! Arrrrrrrrr! :)
