Wow. Thought the latest photo of him was losing weight for a role. From the statement, sounds like the family seen this coming for awhile now. An incredible actor and gone way too soon. Don't recast him!

They have to recast him but I feel bad for whoever gets that role, they will never live up to his portrayal in peoples eyes

RIP to a talented man that had a bright future ahead of him.

Hopefully Shuri will inherit the throne. Maybe Feige and Chadwick had already worked out something, it wouldn't surprise me if he had already secretly filmed stuff for BP2 in case of his death.

He truly has disappeared from our hearts to the biggest “ SNAP “ crisis of all..CANCER! :monkey2

Yes you are going to want to watch your colon - a lot of young people getting Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis these days which can very easily lead to colon cancer. Don't know if this was the case with Chadwick, but again it is a very serious issue you will want to keep an eye on. Trust me, i know.

RIP Black Panther

You guys are scarring the **** out of me so is black panther dying at my age of *** cancer. Martha come check my colon. So the scope is the only way?? What about those microchips with cameras u can swallow and they follow it thru your digestive track?? Or do doctors just want the scope up your *** cause its cheaper?? I hate the thought off all this, my doc lied too me, said i was safe until 50!!!

Whats even crazier, he played Jackie Robison in 42, and he died at age 43 on Jackie Robinson day

Man, I don't know. I don't see them doing that... maybe pass the mantle somehow with an offscreen death and homage? Regardless, what a loss to all of us. Many people looked up to him in that role.

The worst thing about a Colonoscopy is the preparation. The actual procedure itself is nothing once you get over the ego part. You count backwards and bam you're out and then you wake up about 30 min later (feels like a blink) feeling pretty great (happy/content/peaceful/bottle this **** up feeling) for about 5 min or so while the drugs wear off. Go home EAT and then relax. You are going to be hungry from the prep. Again, that is the worst part.

It certainly makes a lot more sense now why they werent exactly fast tracking a sequel. I think it had been scheduled for 2023.

Huge loss. Had great presence as an actor, colon cancer definitely being diagnosed younger and younger and there don't seem to be any great explanations as to why.

I know he was a very talented actor, was well spoken, and seemed like a genuinely nice human being. Way to young to die. ****ing doctors should have caught that earlier, they need to use those camera chips every physical regardless if they are expensive, its way less intrusive and easy to administer

Can't believe this news, he was awesome as Black Panther. RIP.

Very unexpected. I saw a photo of him months back where he looked like crap, but i figured it was for a role. Not uncommon for actors to go to extreme weight loss after all. Had no clue it was because he was sick. The MCU hasn’t had to recast a leading role to death before so it will be interesting to see what happens there. Sounds like he probably knew for a while so hopefully they were able to plan something. I kind of think they’ll want to pass the mantle and not recast. So sad.
