no, no news about that. Just pure speculation. I used to have a Marmit Sandy and it looks damn nice. I might have to pick up on the white pauldron version again and customise it to a RAH body to make a scene like this .

Whats with the helmet. They have different helmets. One the black bar is right above the eyes, the other there is a gap.

So we cant really say Medicom got the Sandtrooper helmet wrong

I think it maybe kinda cool to have the helmet brows mixed here and there tho I prefer the raised brow.

It doesn't match any other Sandtrooper I have seen though. Even with that it still just looks wrong to me. And I don't notice these things that often. Maybe the guy who digitally added him had a shakey hand and couldnt get the bar in the right spot and said ahh no one will notice.

Umm ... think about this from an actual military/bureaucracy perspective. I am pretty sure the Empire would subcontract uniforms, much like the U.S. military does (and no I am not trying to draw any kind of parallel there ). Isn't it possible that one of those helmets is a newer model and the Empire was phasing in replacements? I have seen instances like that in our real military. Besides, do you really think there would have been a priority to send the elite troops in the newest gear down to a desert to "comb" - sorry, that scene in Spaceballs always comes back to me when I think about that - the desert for non combatant robots?

On a real world note, you do realize that black bar was just a stripe of rubber that was held in place to cover the model line from where the 2 parts of the fiberglass helmet were joined together, correct? If you look, there are various instances of those black stripes being all over the place (just look at the "move along" Sandy in Mos Eisley). Something tells me the prop / second unit didn't reshoot or redo scenes because someones rubber strap was slightly off set.

I think Lucas might've done that intentionally. like wear and tear.

they look like simple strips of rubber and that's exactly what they are even in the star wars universe. pretty cool

I'm still gonna try for the non-attendee, but I'll gladly buy one off an attendee if I can't get through, here's hoping though!

I think it'll go pretty fast tomorrow, there's only about 1000 total, and only about 100 for us not going (probably a little more unofficially) but that's not a lot, and troopers are hotter then hell!

I think that's speculation right now. Just from the usual limitation on Medicom Star Wars released in the States. (BH Trooper @ sws 1000, Boba Fett 1000, Clone 1000) but I do hope it's more.

It'll be interesting to see how long this preorder lasts, especially compared to how quickly Boba Fett vanished.

The white clone stayed around a long time but I've heard lots of people say they want one of these on the boards.

Perhaps because it's OT.
