Medicom sucks! Just in normal posing the leg of my RAH comic Spider-man broke off. At first I thought it just came unplugged or something, but no, it's broken. And of course the costume doesn't come off so I can easily wire it back on or something.

Damn.

SOrry to hear that Dave, but No problems with my spidey. And you should see Edwin's pics of his, posed to the extreme and no breaking.

Some found in this thread (back track a bit for more), just amazing pictures and imagination.

mine's taking a break now on my shelf just...standing there with pete's head..its tough to stretch man..especially mcfarlane style!!:rotfl

Sorry to read about your paraplegic Spiderman, Dave. The modern Medicom RAH figures aren't terribly sturdy but they aren't too tough to repair either if you can get the costumes off. But I'm not much on sewing and tailoring stuff so I feel your pain with this. I hope you come up with some way to get Spidey back on his feet. Spiderman is my favorite of all the comic version characters Medicom has made. Very sad.

So, is it the plastic they use that made them easily breakable?

I think it has more to do with the design. The leg holds on the hip by a hollow peg. Very easy to break.

Here is a pic I put together that show where the leg break probably is. I fixed the broken shaft by running brass tubing down the center. It reenforced(sp) the plastic shaft. Hope this may help.

Foolkiller - that's it exactly. And it was the ARM of the PF that I broke. Spidey just can't take it.

Dave!!!! What I tell you about playing with your figures :emperor And this goes to everyone else.

The plastic Medi uses can be a bit brittle at times. I guess it depends on the figure that you get, some are better than others but some are just aching to break. Ive never yet had a problem but a few people have. That's definitely one thing they could improve is to use a plastic with a little more give to it.

Hey Dave,

Given the prices pieces are selling for, you might be able to break him down and almost get enough to buy a new one.

yeah i saw those. u could either part urs out Dave or try and get ur costume off like that guy or if ya ruin urs, buy his lol. it's a damn shame because i've heard of quite a few Medis breaking. even some that arrive broken but at least u can usually get those replaced. i have about 6 now and am afraid to pose them, which defeats the purpose of that killer body. maybe Medi should start offering replacement for figs that break in the "usual" ways.

I think the Medicom sweat shop workers putting the bodies together get bored and resentful after awhile and start messing with the line. I got a Matrix Neo that needed three major surgeries in so many days. If it was a car, lemon laws would have allowed me to exchange it.
