Medicom sucks! Just in normal posing the leg of my RAH comic Spider-man broke off. At first I thought it just came unplugged or something, but no, it's broken. And of course the costume doesn't come off so I can easily wire it back on or something.

Damn.

:monkey4

You are not the only one to go through this with dear spiderman believe me.(although i gotta say i was really twisting the ****er and playin with the edge when mine snapped.) but it happens, and with spiderman you're ****ed cause of the costume.

Counseling starts at 8pm every tues and thurs...PM me for details

My Comic Spidey broke at the shoulder and the only thing I was doing was dusting and adjusting the arm. :monkey2

I think Medicom did something wrong when they constructed the Spidey bodies cause I keep hearing stories about these breaking but I haven't heard anything about other Medi figures breaking.

It's the joints guys.
The 2 areas which are prone to breakage is the shoulder blade joint and the hip joint. If you have spares you can have them replaced buy unscrewing the figure.
The problem for spidey is resealing the suit.

So if I just want to replace the body (color notwithstanding) - which figures should I be looking for that have the same type of body?

The spidey body is a unique body type that Medicom never released as a generic body for sale. Like I said, you can get a spare body and use the parts to replace the broken parts of figure. But the problem is resealing the suit. I seriously dont know how they stitched up the suit and seal it from the inside:confused:

With the hassel of getting another generic RAH body(around 40 shipped and it's really hard to find) and fixing the figure with the almost impossible task of resealing it, I think it's better to sell it to someone who might have some use for it and it's parts and get yourself a new piece:eek:

Man, if I was located in US or you in SG, I'll definately be interested.:D

They have rubber muscle pieces glued to the 301 massive body. It gives it more of a superhero physique. They also have some custom parts like the torsos.

rubber muscles??feels hard to me..cool!!!thanks for the headsup..thanks god mine is still in one piece..

The spidey body uses exactly the same body as Medi Superman. Only red in colour.

Carnage uses the same as spidey but they added extra muscle parts to the shoulders to give him a broader look.

Venom, man, that guy's body is truly unique. I dont think anyone else uses his body type.

Here's a simple guide on medicom RAH 301 body types.

1. Generic Naked Body- The basic type. With no extra muscles added. The exact figure foolkiller posted. Used by Luke and Stormie.

2. Generic Massive body- This is the same as Naked type except they come with an extra torso muscle suit which you put on and off like a shirt.
They come with bits of extra muscle glued to the thighs arms and shoulders.

Basically this is the body that is used by many different characters depending on the muscle and body type. ROTJ vader is a Naked body but comes with glued thigh muscles.
Snake of Metal gear uses a Massive body.

3. The superhero body- The body used for most of it's marvel line and Superman. It comes with a bigger, barrel shaped chest as a basic but they will add extra muscle padding to areas they see fit like carnage.

Wolverine is using the Massive type but with unique arms. Pls ignore the height difference of Comic Spidey and Symbiote cos I had the height of Symbiote adjusted to fit Carnage and Venom.

LOL. So they dont suck after all.:rotfl

Dave, I'd be willing to fix it for you but my sewing job my not be up to snuff. I think if you cut the stitching in the crotch it will be hidden enough upon re-sewing. Also with my venom I only needed to cut about an inch of the stitching out to fix it.
