Jake did a incredible job with that Max, I wonder how frustrating and time consuming it was to add the hair?

Thank you man, short hair is the worst. It took about 4 hours to do. I'll get better at it eventually but short hair is tough to pull off for sure.

Finally finished our Mad Max

For sure, this is a magnificent rendition of Max by great artists.
But, no offense is I ask "When will we finally have a faithful Mel Gibson sculpture for the character of Mad Max ?
This one is a beautiful sculpt but like for others attempts by some other great artists, don't see Mel at all.

Mel looked quite different when he was young, not the Lethal Weapon Mel that your thinking of.

I think it represents him pretty well but if a better option comes out I'll be upgrading him. Omega customs has a list right now for a Mel Mad Max going, curious to see how it turns out.

And this photo consolidate my opinion.

It was not a controversy post.
I admire a lot your work and altough said how much in another thread...

But, regular features for faces don't help to catch a likeness.
Some sculpts recently convinced me (Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, Bruce Willis).
It was not perfect but I don't expect perfection.
Theses headsculpts had character and enough likeness.

Actually, no sculpt of Max is good enough in my eyes.
Even so I really want to subsitute my "old" Snyder's sculpt.
We also really need some new muscular thin body...

Added a few more to the collection. These two have been in the works for years and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. First up is my Quail Hunt Plainview from the Rainman DX set with a new sculpt I private commissioned from Mina Yu. I replaced the stock shirt with a Kato one he made specifically for the figure.
