Yes, Gruff made a comment that these were actually offered carded in Asia. I'm even willing to send him a body, pay the same fullset price if he cant source enough of these. Not everyone is willing to do this but if it can help out and make things easier for him, maybe a few of us can do this.
Also Travis's boots will add to the 1/6 body very well making him his accurate height. When I got Anton I noticed an increase in height because of those boots. Overall though Deniro is not a tall guy, I'd say just about the same height as Bruce Lee, maybe slightly taller.
Bruce Lee Body really is the way to go. The physique, weight, height, posability are all perfect. Also given the shape of Deniro's head and chin/jaw area I think a ball jointed neckless sculpt will work seamlessly with the Bruce Lee Neck. It has that intense tight throat thats perfect for Bickle. Also Deniro was very thin for this movie so the forearms are thin enough so that Rainman can sculpt the Sleeve Gun/Drawer slide and have it fit perfectly and have it retract in and out within the sleeve gussets of the M-65 military jacket.
Plus who can forget this!
If a bit more time is required in order for Rainman to work out the fine details of sculpting without rushing and also giving him ample time to source those Bruce Lee Bodies than this is the way he should go.

but what about a normal slim truetype...? travis has to be covered by clothes...
it could be cut the costs a lot...
Travis wears cowboy boots so that will add to the extra height.
As far as your suggestions shadowfla, I'm not a fan of that blitzway body at all. That seam in the abdomen area is horrible! It looks rather cheap to be honest and I'd rather go with the the best which is Hottoys. Travis deveserves nothing less.
Also there are plenty of other scenes with mohawk Travis shirtless, but aside from that the Bruce Lee body gives of that tight almost angry ready for action vibe that was Travis Bickle, plus it offers somthing completely different. This character has been done countless times before but with the same standard type of body. The Bruce lee body gives us the chance to at least create different looks and poses from either the film or promo pics of him flashing the guns with the holsters and mohawk shirtless. Full gear shirt and jacket or jacket no shirt, or no jacket no shirt, just holsters and shirtless. That gives us options to play around with, and frankly its gonna look insanly awesome. Its worth the effort
and the holster is pretty easy to build) and use another body at your choice with clothes on and another head to the travis palantine's attire..

you could use a lee body to recreate the nude scene with the mohawk head jeans holster and boots(you can find them everywhere
) is the full figure/full rainman offering. He should base any other choices off of the creativity and approach of the full offering, not the reverse.
