Looks like pretty much everyone is coming away happy with this release, which is awesome. Big thanks to Rainman for #1) doing it; and #2) doing it in a way that satisfied so many. Doing the haired sculpt and bomber jacket as a separate head outfit/fullset was extremely cool (and smart from a business POV). Giving the nifty discounts for the double full sets was a nice surprise. Figures look great. A nice change of pace from some of the negativity over the last couple of releases, as well. Definitely a worthy 5th Anniversary release.

I'm glad to see him go the distance on this one too. This was a nice surprise to see him change his ways a bit. It was very necessary to handle Bickle properly. I bet he's equally surprised to see how well received this different structure was too.

Now that the smoke has cleared and the worst of the thread is behind us (hopefully), is it safe to say that this is one of his best works EVER!?!?! Hands down it's his best set build-up wise. The sculpt is super solid as is and will be tweaked for the better, Aeon's paint looks INSANE, clothes, revised shades and everything else is near perfect.

PS: FORGOT TO MENTION.... That pic that was floating around of the "screen used" Driver clothes is not authentic. The liner of the bomber is not orange; RM has the right (or damn close) color. Look into it yourselves before people start to advise him wrongly :wave

Yeah, as I recall this is pretty similar to the way you were hoping he would do it from early on, right? Giving folks so many different options? As for best work ever, putting aside all the options you get with the two sculpts and outfits, I'm still not sure it will rival Bill in my book. That figure is so distinctive and cool, and the likeness was so phenomenal. There are different factors you can consider when you ask that question.

BTW, congrats on getting that slider Pop. I was keeping an eye out for a DX popping up, but never caught one.

Really would like to get the Driver FS, can't swing it though. It's just as well, I'm more than happy to have the Soldier FS, that's what I think of when I think of Taxi Driver.

Thanks for that man :1-1:. One of my best friend's B-day party falling on the same day that RM decides to throw us an early morning fast ball didn't really work out for me :lol

I'm just glad that Ray came thru and was able to throw me a life line. The slider wasn't a favor, it was business :lol; a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

Yea, this is nearly the identical package structure I was dreaming about. Can't say that he didn't cover everyone's tastes and DEFINITELY can't say he short changed the release!

Bill is still the likeness king but he really killed it on these sculpts. Aeon's paint makes it a little more apparent but the more I look at these, the more I realize that what we have here is a lot more than just "the best Travis to date". This is an amazing likeness! It's on the top 5 list as far as I'm concerned. I'll say it beats Doc and ties Anton :exactly:

Its great that there were so many options... I personally think Driver set when I think of Taxi Driver... It is great that the options are(were) there for everybody to choose there own 'character look' for this movie...:hi5:

Honestly surprised that so many prefer the soldier look to the driver. When I think about this movie, it's always him as the Driver struggling to fit in. The soldier is merely the result.

People's idea of Travis are different...
