would be tough to do that without damaging the finish of the handles. assuming they're put together already.

the best guess i have is there is some give prior to putting the screws in - giving the blade some room to move a round a bit, but then when the screws get put in hopefully they're all set correctly and secure...

lol, definitely not a big deal. but something I noticed and thought looked off.
Would be fairly odd to have the metal sticking out from the handles dont u think.

Yeah I hear where you're coming from! I think so too! ...BUT do u guys REALLY think Lees gonna go redo 1600 knives??? The "take your time" comment is so played out. Lees probably got his entire year already planned out for him and his entire team. He has to keep things moving to keep the money comin in. All the guys wanting this change and that change shouldn't have bought the figure if the proto looked like something they didn't want/like. I understand the input and I also understand how we all want the most accurate representation of bill from that scene possible but some of y'all probably making him feel bad as hell as he's working his ass off lol

There is no problem with offering suggestions for changes from the proto. it is done in almost every project.
I was one who didn't care for any of the other changes really, it was mainly the hat colour which was just clearly not accurate at all. Thats the only change I noted when I first saw proto.

Lee shouldn't feel bad, he's working his ass off and it's going to look fantastic. Us talking about things we notice in wip pics and proto pics is the REASON for this thread in the first place.

No problem in bringing things to everyones attention.

I'm fine with the entire figure as it is, apart from the red hat that should be browny green.

I don't think anyone said to redo the knives, they look amazing.
Just pointing out the fact they dont align, for all we know they arent attached properly yet and possibly just sitting on loose pegs waiting for the screw/nail which will align them. I also doubt any changes will, or have been made to vest, or pants colour.

Sorry for posting these here, but while we wait for Bill V2 to be shipped I want to share with you some pictures of a 1/6 diorama my wife made for me to display my DX set once I get it.

She still needs to add some weathering and I need to add some knives in the table and sculpt some 1/6 meat. I will put the DX piggy head on the table as well.

Touching up those knives with the panel on would be a disaster waiting to happen. I can live with something like that, but can understand some being picky. Def not on same level as red hat.

No doubt, wouldn't work without ruining the finish of the panels. not the biggest detail, I can live with it. Just thought I'd ask bout it.

All in all this figure is amazing. so stoked!!!

They way it was left off a while ago, he said that he was going to fix the colors on the vest and make the stripe on the pants darker. As far as I understood that seemed confirmed but let's see what actually happens

I could be wrong but I think what we see is what we're getting with the butcher knife (not sure if all will be like that). What goes in the holes on the handles are like studs or beads that get glued on; they're not a fastener like a real knife that goes thru the handle and keeps it aligned/together. If that's not the way it looks on screen (I forget) then measurements somewhere or another were off but that'll be what we end up with either way

Huh? The art is the accuracy. When did custom 1/6 forget this? I can understand the missed details like color matching on some of the earlier pieces where suggestions and reference material wasn't so prevelant or unless Rainman is motivated towards putting his own twist on things but attention to the small details is the key principle isn't it? He did say changes would be made and to trust that he always make better. Maybe if people stopped bombarding "Lee" on Facebook chat and didn't press him with the rush he'd listen and finally focus on those intricate details.
