Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

Just now noticing that this version of Bill has a different belt rig from the first bill, the cleaver is on his left side not the right like the battle scene Bill, did Rainman have to make a new belt or just move around the knife sheaths.

Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

pretty much all of RM's figures have come with a custom sculpted chest piece including the previous Butcher. it tends to be thinner than the usual V shape of the HT torso which can balance out proportions nicely, but can also really hinder posability as the necks become very rigid. I ended up swapping my Soldier Bickle onto a standard slim shoulder TT and love the look.

If the neck and chest are not visible, as in this case, I prefer going for the 2 jointed neck as opposed to a sculpted upper torso

A little quick Pulp love derail? Is that what we're doing right now? Because I never pass on the chance to post some recycled pics :D

Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

The first Bill had one. I'm not sure why he would bother doing one here, but maybe just for consistency's sake.

yeah, thats what confused me, I know the first one needed it for the chest hair, but this one you don't see any of his chest.

Love how those Dork Clothing Figures are looking Pop! I really wanna make use of my dork clothes one day and bash those. Did you take off Jule's neck?

Do you know of any figure with an unexposed chest where he included the chest piece? None of the ones I've bought from him have had it unless it was necessary for a characteristic look.

I was disappointed with the whole idea at first but once I realized that the MIB body worked well for Jules then I had a big change of heart.

This is an old pic and I did remove the EB neck plug and attached a HT's one to work with the suit, but I don't remember which one I had on the sculpt when I took this pic.

I was just trying Vince's stuff on a ACI Christian there but since then I got a Perseus body ready for this and will Frankenstein the legs with an appropriate upper bod

Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

I initially thought Bill V1 could be connected the way it was intended without the sculpted chest, but as I think it through I'm not so sure, because you have to thread that string through the neck hole, and the way the body is designed it might be tricky using a traditional neck adapter. But with Bickle he just plopped the head on top of a typical HT neck peg. And you don't need a custom chest for that. I assumed that's the way he was going to go here.

Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

I would imagine the same; that he is using a chest-piece but it will connect the way Bickle's did and not with the old school string

Alex, Tyler V2, Narrator, and Bill all had sculpted chests and werent necessarily visible. It made sense for Tyler V1 cause of the bath robe and Travis of course for the shirtless look, the others, just a cool bonus

Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

To those who are handy with sewing alterations: is it possible to alter the sleeves on the coat to fit a TTM18? I have to say that I'm really disappointed with how beefey he looks. Before the protos dropped I had every intention of passing if it ended up looking like this. Then it dawned on me that it could possibly be altered. I saw what Ray did with his Crow and I thought about what Seb did with Mag's Grinch and figured that it was possible.

Honestly I've been holding off paying for this because I've been asking around and I'm waiting for confirmation that this work could be done. I've asked Seb and he said you'd need serious tailoring skills, so I asked Kato and I'm waiting for him to get back to me.

Re: [Rainman Artwork]The Butcher V2 MARCH PREORDER

So there is a precedent, then. Cool to have, even if you won't see it. Head/outfit folks will have the option of saving it for a different figure that really needs it!

Forgot the Dude also has one! Which was necessary for the V neck

The whole thing would have to be re-altered, and Im guessing its possible. But Im not sure if Kato is comfortable enough to be doing alteration for another tailor's work. HOws the petition to use the TTM 18 knock off going anyways?
