I picked up the DF painted head and clothing lot tonight. I'm not the biggest fan of the movie, but there are few characters as bad-ass as Bill the Butcher. I just hope I can put the figure together without ____ing things up too bad :lol

Just got onto the site , man the difference in price between full set and clothing set with head is crazy .. essentially your paying $340 extra for a rainman paint job , the body, snow on the boots and the secret item...personally i don't think all that's worth $340.

..anyway i hope the head and clothing set is still be available tomorrow, if so i will buy it!:)

..can i secure it now with a deposit??? or must i pay it all to secure my order?

You have a week to pay for it, so you should probably go ahead and order now. As for the price difference, this is true, but consider that the full figure is essentially a complete Rainman piece of art, while the parted out sets are less so. When you're paying so much anyway, it's not too hard to justify paying that much more to have a complete Rainman piece. I did that with the Dude because he's one of my favorite movie characters of all time, and I wanted the complete Rainman product. If he makes a Marty McFly, I would probably do the same. But it is something like 45% less money, so if you just want a really awesome figure on your shelf, then I think the cheaper sets are the way to go. And that's how I personally feel about ol' Bill.

Paintwork by Rainman stands out far better than DF studios, although it is very good as well. Is it me or are the eyes painted differently. It seems like the paint scheme is different, maybe to differentiate from Rainman paintwork? Someone please clarify.

its quite easy actually.

I'm sure you'll do just fine bud.

Thanks. It looks fairly straightforward, but I remember someone in the Dude thread saying that he destroyed several feet trying to get that part done right, and that's the part that I'm not looking forward to.

check the tutorial, and make sure you see it again before doing it.

Take out the small bar holding the toes and the rest of the feet and separate it. Use a knife, and split open the feet in half, as they are glued together. And take the foot joints, put some superglue and its done.

Seriously one of the most bad-ass movie performances of them all. Great choice for a figure Rainman.

Doesn't the clothing set w/ head have a painted head? so the additional parts that the full set gets you are the body, the secret item, and the snow on the boots?

I only purchased one Rainman full set and if I was to buy a Rainman figure again I'd try for a full. For one , the boxes he sends them in are amazing. It looks incredible before you open it , classy.
Secondly with Raiman's paint job you know the figure is going to be perfect inside and if it isn't he'll fix the problem for you , you get the secret item and it saves you buying a body , waiting for paint jobs or messing about.

With the clothing set personally I found it a nightmare my first time to put it all together. I was putting the dudes head back on yesterday after getting it back from Greggo and nearly stretched the shirt. With stuff of this quality I don't trust myself to be messing around with it pretending I know what I'm doing. :lol

If the character Rainman is tackling means a lot to you go for the fullset , you wont be dissapointed.
