There is an issue in the movie that I had never noticed while watching it yesterday..... In the beginning of the film the Hotel manager said the Grady girls were 8 and 10 years old. Then in the film later on they are twins! Apparently in the book they were not twins either and Stephen King was upset about that fact.

Rainman didn't really capture the Grady Twins age well. The twins looked like you average 8-10 year old. Rainman's look like a pair of 14 year old girls, they look much older. He also gave Jack this very perverted smirk.....Like creepy perverted.

What's really cool about them is that creepy factor. He really managed to capture the creepiness of the twins. In fact I actually think that his dolls have a creepier effect than the movie twins. It's a super cool set either way.

It's a purposeful 'mistake' to further confuse the viewer.

Much like the rooms within rooms and doors leading to no where etc.

It's funny that I've read King has had a lot of negative things to say about the film, in the sense that the Shining is by far the best, and highest quality live action interpretation of any of his work. But yes, Kubrick took a number of liberties, so I'm assuming that is the root of any of his complaints.

On a side note, someone commented about the scene where the guy is in the hotel room with the guy with the weird bear/dog costume. There is actually something in the book that that was probably inspired by, if you want to get a better idea for who that might have been and what might have been going on.

if I had the extra 800 for that last set of twins I see on RMs site....I would actually pick them up...but after the grand package....I can't squeeze anything out of my pockets anymore...:-/

Seems like a VIP'er cancelled. Nobody needs two sets of these man, especially after $2,600 dollars

Glancing at some Google pics, Danny's hair wasn't consistent at all in how it was styled in the movie (because it didn't seem styled at all--sometimes it just fell differently or may have been brushed by his hand one way or the other). Many times there was no noticeable part at all.

I've said it... please, the forehead on one of the twins has more surface and needs to be adjusted. The eyes set deep in the other. These arent identical twins, and moreover, their facial features, musculature and skeletal structure were vastly different. Someone who has Rainman's ears must address this... their faces need work. The one on the left has a longer face, bigger forehead, the shorter twin in the pic has a rounded cheek and jaw line.

My suggestion to anyone who is looking for greatly improved accuracy and likeness in Danny and twins from what it is has to relook at how they are approaching this:

1) rainman won't make drastic improvements / changes than what he has already shown (usually)
2) pls also "try" to see the figures in isolation of the creative photography that they are currently displayed with. Many a times we collectors get massively disappointed with artfully taken pictures and what we see on out detolf in broad day light - now that mistake is solely ours - happens all the time be it any release from hot toys to iminine to anyone...

Bottom line - Robbie said it beautifully - if you are looking for changes over and above what's shown pls be careful as you will be "usually" heading for a self created disappointment!

:goodpost: The chances are slim that the hair will be changed as I have asked and Rainman about it before has said that hair is different all over the movie. He went with his vision of Danny. His feeling.

So Leon,
Curious....How many Rainman figures do you currently own. You talking like you got years of experience with this stuff. You been collecting since day 1? You've been going in on every area of collecting from the resale aftermarket to Artistic interpretation. What you got on your ReSume...:lol.

The only way to decide who is the best collector is with the time honored collection shot battle! ;)

As much as I don't care about edition sizes - it would make sense in this case to have 3 different CoAs. Separate ones for Jack, Danny and Twins. So it could read something like:

Grand Set
Dull Boy 1/500
Trike boy 1/200
Twins 1/75

Even the Darlord himself sees the importance of this.
