Sounds like I will be shipping them all to Lee. The down side is that shipping will be paid twice. But the upside is that I can ship them all to him in one or two boxes and use a rush delivery which almost guarantee they arrive to him. Shipping them out individually would be ok here in the US but I would be scare ****less going out of country. The cost would either be really high or risk not having them make it. Other countries use EMS and they are pretty good and the price is reasonable.

The last and hopefully final count from Lee was 54 trikes. I think all the orders have finally been paid.

Yeah shipping internationally always terrifies me. I have not had a bad experience yet... but every time I do it I get nervous. A lot can happen on its journey!

Ive had several small things lost but thank god nothing big and ultra limited. If a trike is lost, I can at least realitively replace it. When the gurneys ship it will be a refund because there is no way to replace it.

gurneys!!...gurneys!!!!...any idea if those will be done by march (that's when I will be able to pay for it at any rate)...:)...and I really cant wait to see the entire set up for Robbie's items...I may just have one shelf just for his items...:)

I get Rainman wanting to send things out as a whole package, but I would also be wary of having to ship something so expensive and difficult to produce across continents twice. Hopefully there are no hiccups!

:horror 54?!?! That's it?!?! You mean there wasn't 300??? But the flood gates were open for a full 24 hours!?!? :monkey3

That's a nice count, I'm really glad this was successful for you guys! :clap

I'm really curious to know what the final count was on the twins, full sets and ½ sets

Do you know how he's doing the COAs? I'm assuming they will reflect the final number for each separate package

Don't jinx it!! They'll be fine!!! :lol

I hope they will be fine?:panic: 54:horror I was thinking at least 80 Trikes :lol

There was more Scottish Warriors DX produced than the trikes, I knew it wouldn't change the numbers much. Lee might have did 45 if he used the old ordering system. Congratulations everyone , this will still be an extremely limited piece and hold it's value. Was nice for everyone to get a shot at an awesome collaboration of Mr. Robbie and Lee. I am so happy for everyone!!!!

Exactly. With his growing popularity and the growth of the communitty in general, most of us have been saying for a while that he should increase his runs a little. He actually has been gradually upping them in increments of 5 from the days of 20 to now which seems to usually be 40 (Bickle was 55 with all FS packages totaled). So maybe this one ran a little high because you have to assume that there were 10-30 full sets in addition to the DX's. If the final count is 70-90, I'm glad that some more people got in and the whole thing was a success for him & Robbie.

I think the numbers are perfect - I had indicated it won't be more than 40-60 and they are right in that range - so I think all has worked out well! In spite of some of the complains about the open order process!

The good part - money to Robbie and rainman which is the way it should have always been!!!!

Kudos to all those old time members who supported and encouraged such a system!!!

I think it is a spectacular idea. It allows people to choose the set that suits them best, and it doesn't come with the anxiety of locking down an order. It makes for a crap ton of orders to fulfill but it allows everyone a chance at these incredible pieces.

as an accountant and businessman...you have to admire some of the business acumen used in this release....I think RM knew that if he sold just Danny on the trike that his numbers might not have been as strong....so the inclusion of the twins pushed some of us...I think there were at least 10 grand packages....if you do the number alone with the DX alone....the guy made over 100K in 7 days....you add at least 10K to whatever the DX totals are and the guys clears 120K with grand and DX sets ALONE!!!!...this does not include Full sets or H + C sets or stand alone headsculpts...which I bought two of....just sit and wonder about that.....sit....and take it all in...

I'm CLEARY in the wrong business...LOL

congrats Rainman...I thought when Bickle came around that I had seen some of the strongest number for a custom run.....he beat that out of the water with this release...you have to admire THAT....artistic style and all...the number WILL NOT LIE...of course this doesn't include the costs to do all these but he definitely clears one helluva profit when all is said and done

Haha I was just thinking about the shear numbers of it! It is a ton of money especially if the project is turned around in a quarter of a year or so. Money will have to go to supplies, Tailoring. Robbie, etc... but it is a good haul for sure.

Rainmans new project: Overlook Caretaker

Brilliantly put!!!

He was also smart to put Danny and trike as Dx and Twins as grand and even as option of an add on purchase! Cause the biggest haul was that 1950 number! If (for a second just assuming) he put Danny and trike as separate for 1250 and then had twins as Dx (for lets say 1500) it would be a bit of trouble for him! (In the sense that he would not haul what he did with this approach) - many would think otherwise but the man really thought this through!!! Great business acumen!!!

It's ka-ching time!!!

Waiting for a mate.

Got the sample body from Lee so that each trike will be sure to be fitted. There can be fluctuations in the metal parts. Also talked to Lee and he said we are in the 2 month time frame for delivery.
