I redid the Axe to make it look like the end of the movie and not so plastic and cheesy! I think it came out ok, hard to tell with iphone camera

I've been meaning to post pics and further comment on the axe situation, but I felt like I burned so much gas stating the case the first time that I didn't want to revisit it, but the fact is I think even 7" is still a touch long. You could really take a full 1" off the back and this would look fine, but I think it would be a good balance for the figure if it was 6¾" (as a couple others mentioned). Only shaving ½" off the back still leaves it pretty damn long.
I wanted to take better pics with measurements to show what I mean but here's just a quicky. I have the hands spread apart enough for that wide grip with the lead hand close to the head as is on screen (I know Jack is a lefty and it's facing the wrong way; haven't had a chance to reposition it), and there is still a serious amount of excess at the butt (about 1½"). Taking off ¾" would still leave a good ¾" which would look as it does on screen.

Thanks Turdf and Pop!!!! Looks much better, couldn't stand that plastic look anymore plus im getting the better axe(the real axe) I watched the movie last night and yes the axe is wayyyyyy to big, so i got inspired to get out the paints and destroy the axe! Chop chop!
Some of the yellow paint is chipping of the axe also so it was time!

7 inch axe proto. Fergo says that he will use a lighter color wood when he start production. He will send me the proto tomorrow to take pics of the axe on Jack's hands for reference.

I thought for rainman axe / just the handle was 7 .5 and we were trying to bring the handle to 7 inches! did I get that wrong?
