Everyone seems to have a big but....Simone, lets talk about your big but!!
Hell yeah....much love for pee wee.
Indeed I was. Born in '81. Meanwhile I never knew he had such a cult following.
This sounds like when he told me he's definitely making Daniel Plainview. Good luck.
he is. only for me though. sorry.
This is a fantastic idea for a figure. It reminded me of how much I loved the films and show as a child.
I am surprised no one has done one already or pushed for this in the past. Hopefully with 1:6 bicycles vaguely of the same style/era available, the bike can be done at a reasonable cost.
Reubens was just a funny ___ing guy, and Pee-Wee is a great character. The movie is damn good, but I personally really think the TV show (and live special) were funnier as a whole, because of the universe and characters that he created and interacted with there, as well as the fact that he was able to really refine his humor and establish running gags and themes that became hilarious over time, like that damn Salesman. Pee-Wee's Playhouse was different than, say, the Muppet Show, because it was squarely targeted at kids, but it was definitely absurd and insane enough that I can still watch and enjoy it. And it (and the film) was based off his stage show, which was not at all kid-friendly, and bits of that come through in the humor and characters like Captain Carl, who was always a bit unhinged.
Kids' shows today are far too condescending IMO.

I never was a fan of his "kids" show but I really liked his stage show. It was really twisted and strange. Its what I like about the first movie. It was very theatrical.

Well, I'm also biased because of the nostalgia factor.
Word. Nice thing about it is--Pee Wee looked exactly the same in all of those, so the Rainman figure works for all of our purposesAnd I can totally get that! Its what makes this character so damn likeable! And the kids show was great but it has nothing on the movie for me. To each his own. This figure satisfies either way!

Not the Cheech and Chong version?See, that's my problem. THIS is the one I want!
