Anyone know what Rainman's next project will be after this?

Milkshake man, likely. It appeared to be Ringo... but that nixed quickly mysteriously. Then, out of the blue the sculpt to Milkshake man appeared. Who knows after that... it appeared to be Bickel for awhile.

There was a lot more interest on the boards toward Plainview than Ringo, so I figure that played heavily into Rainman's decision. Ringo might be better suited to a one-off custom Rainman makes for himself. He might have a hard time selling a second tier character from a movie like Tombstone.

Agreed on Ringo... I read a few people were already luke-warm about that. But still... Plainview? Who actually makes these decisions?

From what I can tell it seemed to start with Rainman toying around with modding Bill's sculpt, and it was posted, then interest was generated in a Plainview, and Rainman decided to do it as a full figure. Rainman's decision ultimately, though I know Wofford has been hounding him about it for awhile (and was apparently previously told by Rainman that it was going to be made way on back).

Only just because i was watching Heat last night...would be nice to see De Niro and Pacino piece together. I've seen the one on ebay for De Niro...but it would be nice to see his version.

People can get lukewarm all they want, but once Rainman announces a project people give-in and end up buying his figures anyways.

A lot of lukewarm feelings toward Pee Wee, but in the end it sold out. :monkey1

HS+Clothing Set and Clothing Sets still available btw :lecture

Daniel Plainview is an easy pass for me simply because the only DDL figure I want on my shelf is Bill :gah:

I had him in my hands too, but came with a broken mustache :slap

Pee Wee has a much stronger following and cult status than Ringo, though. I would argue that Ringo is much less significant than any other character released yet by RM, maybe barring the mouse.

If Rainman does DeNiro, it wont be from 'Heat.'

Plainview is cool... I may bite, but I would rather splurge & get a Bill if someone sells it.

If my memory serves me correct he bought the full figure. I am sure he managed to buy the full custom.

Hmmm, don't think so bud. Could be wrong though. :dunno

Pretty sure he bought it when Jack sold Feng stuff in a mass lot a few years back; the A, B, or C versions of McClane and two versons of Pacino. I think.

Yeah I remember watching one of them McClane's.

I could be wrong I just thought he bought the full custom.
