Thanks, my fellow freaks. These 2 figures are just incredible. Getting these figures (aside from my Ledger Joker by Kato and BobbyC) felt like getting a painting or some rare work of art (which this is, imho).
Funny thing is that a couple of weeks ago I was planning on selling it because I needed money for some unexpected expenses, but I was able to sell a few other figures instead. I'm happy I kept it, because this really is a masterpiece!
To be honest, I love the Oompa Loompa more than Wonka. I really like Wonka but the Oompa blew me away! Oh, and my kids love it too!

@Mag: I used double sided tape to keep the jacket in place just for the pictures, but I don't recommend it. If you leave it there for a long time, I think it will mess up the glitter on the vest. I plan on resolving the coat issue with some mini magnets that will keep the coat close to the body and not show the inner lining. I'll let you know if it works.

About the golden ticket: I won't reveal if I got one or not, just yet. I know some of you OCD-suffering freaks are waiting to count all the tickets to then take a decision to open you bars or not. Open them like everybody else! :lol

He looks alive, Teddy! And dreaming!

I wasn't home today for delivery, so tomorrow it's off to the PO for me.

Thanks Gruff :duff

It is just an astonishing figure that feels more magical than any other Rainman figure I have. I would still say Bill and the Dude edge it for me but Wonka is pure magic!!!

Rainman says

Thank you all once again for buying Wonka and supporting me. I always try to make a better figure for you guys than the last one. I really hope you love Wonka as much as I do. I said I wanted to make Wonka better than the proto pictures you seen and I hope you agree?

I really hope I have given my fans the best Christmas gift this year :)

I will again strive to make the next figure even more perfect for you!

Thank you again for all your support in 2011 and I hope you will be there to support me in 2012.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Rainman

I just can't stop looking at him :lol

I have changed my mind, as much as I love Bill and the Dude, Wonka is outshining them both. He is just magical and so therefore he becomes my number 1. Everything about Wonka is perfection, another masterpiece Rainman :)

Well, I think Wonka + Oompa Loompa, outshine Bill. Wonka by itself, not really, imho.

Remember, this is subjective.

I don't have any of them, but going by the pics I have seen, Bill is still way more impressive IMO, the Oompa loompa is awesome but I was comparing the actual figures.

Bill is far and beyond a more favoured character for me. In terms of the figures Wonka really is shining. For some reason I don't think Wonka is taking great pictures :dunno I can't explain that. As I stand here now both of them stood side by side it is so very hard to choose a winner but seriously Wonka has this real magical feel about him. That could just be because its xmas and I am feeling all seasonal and that :lol

Is it the hair?:dunno I'm sure it looks fine in person but it looks very "doll" cheap to me in the pics that I have seen, and there appears to be no real transition between the sculpt and the hair.

The hair is perfect! It looks amazing in person! Definately not cheap at all. I am so pleased Rainman went for this over sculpted :)

The most recent hair pictures are pretty unflattering, but it's probably just the pics. I'd definitely never take the hat off when displaying. Amazing final product though.

The hair was always an issue with me simply because Wonka had sort of a comb over part similar to all those really good Heath Joker sculpts. I felt maybe half sculpted, half frizzy haired would have been a detailed touch. Also I'm still not 100% on the Wonka hair, but now I realize that Rainman picked the correct wig/hair for Wonka as it seems to be a material that will untwine or begin to frizz overtime, essentially making the figures hair better as it ages. This is still the very best in 1/6 in the World right now (My Opinion)

I was wondering if the skin tone on the face was dark (tanned look) on all of them?

Really?

I thought I showcased the hair pretty well here. I tried very hard to replicate the style from a certain promo picture. The wig really is perfect. So easy to manipulate and certainly not cheap looking.
