bed and Karras would have to be made for this to be at the DXX level...that may be pushing upwards to 3K for sure based on his prior pricing schedules...doesn't bode well for some...I can already see that...

some of the folk on FB also seem excited but I can't gauge if this will be as successful as OC DXX set...not unless you have someone like Robbie attached to this project....I mean....who else would you get to make the 1/6 Full size bed for a 12 year old teenager possessed doll?

I don't think the beds that hard to make- two bed posts, frame and bed spread. Right? Maybe if it had action- like magnets so she can float. Or head turning.

What about offering a Father Karras figure separately- maybe with a running outfit xtra?

And do Rachel seperate also. For the not so sqemish

And the Dx comes with both, plus and extra- maybe a possesed Karras head

Im not attached to this project. Im out of all new customs till I get caught up. I may build a bed just for fun but I dont plan on buying this figure. I will definitely buy a Father Karras if he is made. I have been want that figure since I started this hobby.

Magician Plank will create the levitation scene easily and most effectively. I'm not sure how people think magnets will work?


Also, in a perfect world someone should have tried to broker a collaboration between Custom Horror Bases (Beto's Other venture) and Rainman. It's no mystery that Beto may also do a Reagan some time in the future that I'm positive those who are supporting Rainmans project will also support Beto's take on the character. I know I am definately committed to both artist interpretations....but logic dictates that there is good money to be made if Custom Horror Bases hops on board and offers the bed with this project. They are fully capable of producing these beds at the highest quality/authentic detail and quite frankly this is the collaboration that I've always wanted to see....the 2 kings of the Hill in Custom 1/6 Art.

Not yet. Project hasn't even begun. Dull Boy just finished so I expect at least 2-3 months before we see a wip tease. give or take.

Guys guys, I'm starting to get scared I think last night I almost wet the bed thinking of this figure. Do you think they will do fitted 200 count bed sheets? Do you think they will put paint applications like puke on the bedspread? I am going to talk to Reverend Joseph tonight to clear my mind but until then I will get my head and holy water

The schedule that Beto is on when producing figures is much more complicated and time consuming that making custom bases. He has to sculpt, test paint, final paint, source fabric, test fabric, do accessories etc. plus he works on multiple projects at one time were as Rainman I'm assuming only works on one project at a time. My guess is that Beto has to work on multiple projects at a time because his material supplies are only available through his vendors at certain times so that's why he jumps on multiple fronts instead of just waiting for only supplies for one project. Plus it's a much smaller operation.

But Custom Horror Bases is a venture between Beto and Alex the person in charge of CHB. I'm assuming it would be very possible for them to meet any schedule with this project if they and Rainman were interested in doing business together.

I don't speak on behalf of CHB so I'm only making a suggestion as a customer but looking at it from a business standpoint....I think the opportunity makes for good business for both parties and this project would be pretty much worked out from all angles.

Still doesn't change the fact that many times, his communication is non-existent and his ability to convey happenings regarding his projects are not directly from him, and unfortunate, from people that shouldn't have privy or that shouldn't be called on to be "reps" for him on the boards.

I don't think it's appropriate to start bashing one of our most creative and talented 1/6 artists especially when there's more to it than that. We really shouldn't be airing out these types of things on this thread. The important thing to realize is that CHB and Beto can produce arguably the best bed if they were interested in collaborating with Rainman. Obviously this is just ideas adm I'm sure that Beto may have other plans for his projects as well.

It just would be cool to see these two camps collaborate and know that we will be getting the absolute best product from figures to accessories etc.
