hahaha... everytime a pic of a lousy statue comes up, always it's the lighting not good enough, always 'it's the angles' to blame... dont you ever get tired of the same excuses over and over again?

it's a LOUSY pf. terrible likeness, terrible pose. just plain bad. just no excuses for this after the indy pf.

No one is making excuses. The people who see the value in this Rambo PF know SS, and they know what likeness can be for first pics. I don't think anyone on this forum who is a Rambo fan would like it because it has Rambo on it. They like it because it is, simply put, a good sculpt at the least. What other accilades will happen after the in hand pics come out.

Honestly, how many times have we heard how lousy a SS product is, then when it comes out it gets many positives? Many times. And this is going to be one of them.

SS got it right, and the proof in the pudding will be when it comes out.

I don't get all the hate. If I was a Rambo fan I'd be happy to own this PF. It's definitely not horrible by any means.

I would agree that the likeness is there, i think the expression is really killing it though..should have sculpted a closed mouth..almost pouty looking would have worked.

Hey its far from perfect but good enough to pick up. There are very few pieces that excel in every department. His pants look cool!

There is another detail with the pants i am not sure is right, the side/leg pockets look to be just one square with the opening flap above..i thought in the movie his pants had folds in the side leg pockets like most army pants have...i am not sure you guys know what i mean, its like two creases in the pockets.

The sculpt is a major disappointment. The body is good and the base is decent, could have been better in my honest opinion.
Looks like he's trying to rip a fart everytime I see his ridicules facial expression.

Well if it's not to people's liking, whatever, that's cool, but commenting on it like it's an absolute train wreck just makes no sense to me, the way some of the comments are worded, you'd think this PF came out looking like Rob Schneider or something.

We call it like we see it and it is a train wreck for the most part.

Whether the final PF turns out better or not, I do hope this does well enough to establish business motive for further Rambo (and perhaps Rocky) products from Sideshow. Just please have Trevor sculpt at least one. No one can nail likenesses like that kid right now.

That's my stance, I don't want this to become another T-800, I want this to have complimentary pieces, and certainly branching out into Rocky would be nice too.

If this be the only PF, I'm happy with as is to be a one and only, not sure I'd pose it or pick a different movie to sum him up in one statue of this size for my collection.

I think a PF of Rocky from his pose for Rocky III would suit well, its not an action pose at all and would work with a robe maybe as the EX.

For me, Rocky sculptures should embody the emotion of the charcter, be it a fighting pose that captures the bull that won't quit, or some more classic moments that capture his spirit of never giving up on his dreams.

Even though you're being sarcastic, I'm dead-on serious when I say that this caricature more resembles Stallone and his likeness to me (I mean, it's OBVIOUSLY him) than the Sideshow PF we've seen so far.

Thank you, couldn't find a picture of that moment, I think that'd be a perfect way to sum up Rocky, while it's not the first film and embodying how he just had to prove he could stay standing and not even when, I like the visual of the culmination of all his efforts winning, and certainly he looks plenty banged up at the end of 2. I'd almost like to see double figure PF of Rocky with Mickey, that'd be classic.

Which now that I think of it, if Sideshow ever did a Rambo 3 PF, it'd be awesome to have it be Rambo and Trautman side by side right as they start attacking the Russian Army. "What do you say John?" "^^^^ 'em!"

I really like the father figures in both Rocky and Rambo that Mickey and Trautman represent, even though both are pretty strong loner's just making their way through the world, they have these two individuals that bring the heart into it all.

Also keep this in mind, if they ever do a BD Balboa they could get away with proper eye likeness being that his face would be beaten to crap. I really want that pose too Rock83.
