I really don't care for the way Sideshow photographs their new pre-order items. They rarely do the pre-order any justice. Its a bad mix of angles and lighting imo.
I'm inclined to agree...particularly on this piece.
The Rocketeer PF was unveiled tonight... and it's an utter Masterpiece in every way. Even with the same photography.
No excuse here. The Rambo PF is simply not up to snuff.
Sideshow either makes significant tweaks, or they will face mass cancellations and lose money on this one. It'll wind up on Gift Card status for centuries.
Whatever they do, if they change his hair to look flatter and more wet down like the scene in the movie it's inspired by, I'll be very let down, it looks fine in the movie for the circumstances but I don't want the PF to represent a moment so specifically like that, the design right now is a nice summary of Rambo from part 2, his average hair style, a significant weapon, the shirtless look, red bandana and Co necklace.
I'm not that concerned with the hair. It's the face/likeness that's a dealbreaker right now. Fix that and I for one could easily accept the hair as-is.

Same goes for the Punisher,same guy took both pictures.
Some people are calling out for the hair to be flatter and less puffy to capture his sweaty battle look, but I don't care for that, and I don't really want to see it painted dirtier either, extra on the pants ok, but I'd rather his upper body the way it is. More weathering on the gun I'm ok with too.

Yeah, it's definitely the face. Fix that and this will do.
The lighting in the QTVR really shows off the abdominal muscles.

I think it all looks perfect minus the eyes. After seeing a straight on shot, the eyes need to be tweaked. They really do. It may be more than just paint. For some to say the entire thing sucks is just being silly imo.
I'd say maybe size and or placement of the iris.

The eyeballs and paint are killing the likeness imo. However, again, its not THAT bad imo.
