I'm ok with the likeness, but may have to cancel since I got Sabretooth, Wolverine and Jedi Luke all coming within the next few months, plus payments on my Vader 1:1

i've never has such mixed feelings about a piece. At first I was excited, then i was kinda dissapointed. Then i was optimistic and decided to keep him, but after seeing the most recent pics, not soo sure i should keep him.

Well hopefully enough people will like this enough to support future Rambo items from Sideshow.

Sadly, all signs point to this being a one-and-done deal. Even though both the Ex and Regular are on the Waitlist right now, there will be cancellations (they've already started) and I don't think this is going to be very well-received.

Well I expected all along that it'd likely be a one and done, given that they opted for the more iconic costuming for him, anything in the future would just be a nice bonus. I'd like a PF for each film, but if nothing else, a nice 1:1 bust would be ideal.

The sad thing is, Sideshow will probably take the poor reception to this piece as an indication that Rambo just isn't popular or worth their time, rather than seeing that the criticism isn't because of the character, but of the quality (or lack thereof) of the premium format piece itself.

I fear that just like with their Bruce Lee piece, which suffered a similar fate, this is pretty much the death of Rambo from Sideshow, when it need not be the case. And if that does happen to be the case, and this is the end of the line for Sideshow doing Rambo, well that's a damn shame, as personally I'd still like to see a quality premium format Rambo from any of the first three films (HCG has pretty much covered the fourth now), and would gladly buy a Rambo PF based on any of those films if the quality and likeness was there. But as I said, sadly I fear that Sideshow will blame the fans for not buying or supporting this piece enough, rather than take responsibility for going forward with production on a clearly substandard sculpt, just as they did with Bruce Lee, and bye bye Rambo license. Sad.

Regardless, this piece just doesn't cut it for me, not even close.

OKay....I was at Sideshow for a quick tour because of some work I did for them last year and I did see Rambo, briefly, and it looked okay. I actually thought it looked better in person but I didn't have a really great view because it was in a high shelf.

I don't think that anyone that gets it will be disappointed, specially because you'll get what you see, cause it looks just like the photos on the site.

that`s good news, after seeing the new pics on the sideshow page I think it comes out good... The likeness is not the best work sideshow has done, but I like this PF and will be happy when they ship soon.:wave

This is gonna be one of those pieces I will probable pick up way down the road locally for like half of retail. Even if its not perfect, the right price will persuade me. I do own the Robocop PF so ............... :lol
