Oh, what could have been...

Back in the glory days of Palisades Collectibles (long before Sideshow started putting out Aliens/Predators), they released a series of statues titled Signature Series.

The only ones that made into production were the Alien, Alien Warrior and Queen Alien.
Very cool stuff for the time.

There was a rumor of a Predator Sig Series statue, but Pali closed it's doors before it ever happened.

But, here's your chance to see what that statue was going to look like.

This prototype sculpt is up for auction (not mine) for a mere $2400.

Here are some pics of the prototype and some of the painted master sculpt to show what it would have looked like.

Yeah, it's not Cinemaquette quality for sure...but hey, back then it was all we had to look forward to.

That seller is Ken Lilly himself. They are such scammers will all that Palisades stuff...

Why the hate? And who's Ken Lilly? I think it looks great, especially considering the times it was made in. And don't forget, it was a prototype.

I loved my warrior, sold it last year to make room for a few dio's though, perhaps on reflection i shouldn't have. What a shame palisades are no longer around, i have all the old preddy busts also and love them, especially the elder!!

"NOTE: THIS IS NOT A TOY. It is a VERY rare and very valuable early resin prototype. So if you are planning on picking this up for a little kid…DON’T! J It belongs in the hands of someone who will treat it with respect and dignity as it is not only the RAREST type of pre-production sample that EXISTS in the process of making product, it is also a ONE-OF-A-KIND canceled product prototype.

I'm glad he put the disclaimer because I was just about to buy it for my cats

My god, I remember this guy being shown in a magazine. It was at the beginning of my collecting days. Brings back memories. Looks kind of cool, but certainly not worth $2,400 or whatever it would have retailed for though.

The seller is a ****** bag i won a few auctions from him 3 years ago and he backed out of the deal because i got them cheap. He still has some of them for sale.(at a much higher price of course)
