Also gave it an 8, loved the film but Venom was criminally underused and the dancing scene was cringe worthy IMHO.

I thought the Sandman and Goblin stories were spot on though and liked the symbiote stuff before Venom as well.

I rate it a 6.5/10. A good movie with too many "holes" in it to rate it much higher. I give credit to Raimi for trying to please everyone, but rarely does that ever payoff.

7/10 , which is about as high as I go for a popcorn flick. I really like what they did with the Sandman, the character faithfully adapted from Ditko's immagination to the live screen. Never cared for Venom and apparently niether does Raimi, I think he did all that could be done for such a one dimentional character. I'm not a fan of Tobey McGuire , but I got a kick out of his Peter Punker. For many the story was too contrived, but that's how comicbooks are.

Which is a shame. I'd give the original a 7.5 and Part 2 a solid 9.0
