Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

I got it from Amazon and it was around $600ish :google

Its a really cool camera, but I've quickly learned I don't know shat about using a real camera :lol

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Yeah, but since she doesn't collect figures its okay :lol

Although, your pics are very good. I'd say some of the best on the board, no real reason to upgrade unless you are just wanting to get all fancy on us :huh

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Well its only a little $100 Samsung camera, so I would like to have something nicer, but not $600 worth of nice :lol

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

The sucky thing is there doesn't seem to be much in that middle ground. The jump-up between the DSLR and Point and Shoot is pretty big.

The major reason we go this was for taking pics of the impending baby... my old camera ($100 Samsung as well :lol) doesn't really cut it in low-lighting w/o having to use a tripod or flash.

:lol

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

I know dude... its pretty funny. We must have been separated at birth, or born under the same f'd up sign :lol

BTW I count about 80 figures/collectibles that we have in common :lol

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

:lol I counted 75 that we share, but I know I'm not seeing everything. Mary just saw your pics and said, "Man, everyone on here has so little compared to you!":slap

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Oh yeah, I know we have a lot more overlap... just a lot of my smaller scale items aren't out on display yet.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

A few more pics of the collection... nothing too fancy, but I forgot to include a picture of one of my shelves the other day and some close-ups of figures.

Fantastic group shot!

I need to eventually get me some Universal Monster and Planet of the Apes.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Thanks man, I got my wife a Canon Rebel for her Bday last month.

So, my pictures should probably be better :lol but I'm still learning how to use it.

You can't go wrong with Canon Rebel in my book, it's what I use and will probably stick with when time comes for an upgrade, easy to work with, picture quality is fantastic.

Chase is right, your photos with the new camera are really nice, one of the things I loved going from my P&S to the DSLR was the depth of field my shots would have, like your latest stuff shows, I think it makes shots more interesting when you have those blurring effects going on.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

A simple but well-concieved layout that never ceases to fascinate me! There's always something new to oogle that I hadn't seen before and I really dig the groupings!

The blue Snagletooth is by far one of the coolest most unique pieces I've seen in anyones spread, and I have to say a collection without customs is collection not worth having!

Thanks man, the Uni Monsters are still some of my favorites. And except for a few are still reasonably priced.

Thanks, I've had fun messing around with it. I'm still feeling it out, but its a really awesome camera.

Don't think I could have summed it up any better myself, thanks :hi5:

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

I actually got him earlier in the week, but don't really like him much in person. So I think I'll be getting rid of him, he's just not badass enough to hang in my Terminator collection.

Aw man, Marcus is such a great figure though. :monkey2

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

I like him, but space is at a premium and he's just not top shelf enough. I'm not 100% that he'll go, but he's on my possible list.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

I was on the fence about him, almost order a couple weeks ago from Hastings, until I read your recent views on him. If hes not worthy of a spot on your shelf he shall not find a spot on mine! Good day sir!
