Oh man, oh man, oh man. So I just spent a good amount of time with this guy and I’m officially blown away. I didn't put the raincoat on yet but I soaked in everything else good and plenty. BANANAS!!!!!!
Hands down it’s the best Iminime figure that I’ve received to date. The suit is great! The high end guys here can’t expect Kato quality with this but it’s by far the best in its class. It’s improved from the proto shots and buries all of those frumpy, bulky cheap suits on the market. The whole outfit is fantastic; double breasted pinstripe suit, blue contrast shirt with gold cuff links, red patterned tie... all super accurate. The over coat is awesome too and no detail was missed here either. I love that look and I’m so glad it made the cut. It seems that this was also altered from proto as it has a much better fit now.
The shoes are a good look and it’s great to see that accurate resin shoes will finally be part of Iminime’s packages. These have great detail and they even have tread/grip details on the bottom of the sole. NICEEEEEEEEEE
I can’t say enough about the Raincoat. This is Iminime’s best single article of clothing they’ve ever produced. Accurate to a tee (well… aside from the three circle design in the rear flap) and the best choice of material they could have possibly sourced. I originally thought it was a cloth fabric that greatly resembled vinyl but it does actually have a slight plasticy quality to it. Awesome.
The axe is incredible. Real metal head, wood grain details on the handle, blonde wood accurate color. My fave accessory of the batch.
Now that I have the knife in hand I can say it’s pretty awesome and better than I expected based on the first few pics. It’s full metal just like a real Global but it has a criss-cross grip pattern on the handle as opposed to Global’s famous black dotted pattern. It would’ve been nice if Iminime could’ve figured out a way to make the accurate handle….. one of my very few nits about this set.
The brief case and CD are a bit on the rough side but I’m glad they’re included and both are very acceptable.
The DX head is surprisingly amazing. I thought it was decent in all the proto pics but thought it was a strange choice. Now that it’s here I’ve changed my opinion about it. It has so much character and personality in hand. It’s awesome and looks sick with the rain coat and axe. The inside of the mouth has so much detail it’s sick. They even included the Uvula (“punching bag”) for Christ’s sake. Tongue, teeth and roof of the mouth all have great detail; awesomely sculpted and painted.
The paint on both sculpts have been improved from the protos; lighter skin tone and no more blondish highlights. He was too reddish blonde originally but they nailed his proper hair color.
The ZCWO/Iminime body is decent. The arms are a bit loose but the legs and ankles are stiff as a board so he could hold poses no problemo. They're compatible with HT hand pegs too. I will still probably switch him over to a TTM18 but for those who don't want to invest more into this, you'll have no problem with this body.
Major victory for Iminime. Major win for the fans.
